EA has shareholders and investors they must listen to .  Its real simple if EA says this game has to appeal to a wider audience for it to make more money then thats how it will be made .  You forget that Bioware is now owned and part of EA . EA calls the shots period .

I can already see the topic titles "OMG ME3 is the worst game evar... I'll go play DA2 which is awesome, but I didn't give a chance because I like to dislike stuff." But seriously though the Bioware fans are pretty darn harsh.

my goodness people. These are probably the same whiners who were dramatically predicting multiplayer right up until it was confirmed that there wouldn't BE multiplayer.

I got exactly what I was looking for with Mass Effect. I wanted a shooter with RPG elements set in a sci-fi universe with an emphasis on dialog.

Sigh. This is the equivalent of giving growth hormon to cattle to get more meat........But they know all fans of ME1 and 2 will buy it anyway, so it's best to ignore them and find even more people who will like it for mo'money.

I'm curious, what other market can they appeal to. I mean after ME2 they got the shooter fans nailed down, if they do it right they have the RPG fans nailed down what other demographic can they appeal to... unless ofcourse they plan to make some sort of franken game to appeal to every genre out there at once, which means ME3 is now a shooter-rpg-stealth-beatemup-racing-platformer-puzzle-strategy-fighter abomination.

Twenty seven patches later and the game is unplayable on single player because everything has been 'balanced' to death.

I'm surprised the forum is not up in arms about this. I basically read the statement to mean that they are going to dumb the game down even more in an attempt to make it COD in space.

I'm officially worried. I've always liked BW games, but DA2 and now this, makes me think those days are over.
