Would you prefer to see the DLC be all post-game DLC, or would you prefer DLC take place in Act 1, Act 2, etc.?

If we were talking about Origins I'd say either, but if we're talking about DAII I;d like to see DLC that fill in the gaps of those 3 year drop offs. It just feels too choppy to me.
Now having said that I don't mean more of the same time sink basic quests either. Things like side trips to actually work on taking Starkhaven back could easily take the player to area outside of Kirkwall. There's no law (I hope) that states every single bloody thing we do has to be in those city walls o_0
Some DLC of back story would be nice too. Isabella's/Qunari arrival, Fenris' escape and time with the freedom fighters, more Varric of course, etc could have potential if written well.

The back story ones wouldn't really work because the devs pretty much said that all DLC will be based around Hawke (Because Leliana's Song didn't do well)

Post-game, definitely.

Well, I'd personally like to see more of Hawke's background. Say, if you're warrior/rogue you could play an Ostagar background while if you're mage you stay in Lothering doing errands or such (could go into the Korcari Wilds even, why not?).
Then there's also the gap between the prologue and Act I, that infamous first year in Kirkwall not only could but I think should be explored. It would be nice if we saw characters such as Worthy beforehand and got to explore how Hawke gets to meet him (under what circumstances).
Finally, am I the only one who felt Act III was too short? I think something should be done about it, but, as of yet, I'm not sure what. Concerning post-Act III DLCs, I don't think that's very likely to happen. My only basis for this is that DA2's last video works as an ending, if more of a cliffhanger (think of it in terms of the Arrival DLC and how it should have delivered a more momentous video/cutscene to connect with ME3).

If it was to be within the three acts, it would have to be a free DLC. So, post-game. Not that I would buy it.

Please, explain your reasoning.

Why would people pay for a DLC that fleshes out the story within the acts of the game? Paid $60 for this game and expected a complete coherent story, which sadly wasn't delivered. Why pay for something that should of been done in the first place? (short dev time is one of the main reasons)
So keep any DLC's to after the game is ended if you want people to pay for them.
Just sayin'

Well, if that's the case, with any and all future story DLC relating to post-Act III events, wouldn't we be looking at a DA2.5? 'cause, if that's not the case, the alternative would be more side quests, and that is something I'm not particularly looking forward to.

I'd say if there's going to be a pay-for DLC, have it say before the game started, like in lothering, put a back story to hawke. Or something after the game as ended.

maybe not something necessarily after the end of the game, but during those three years between the end of act three (year 7) and the ending cinematic (year 10)

Definately the gaps, so we can get a little bit more of the interactions between characters and Hawke and Kirkwall other then what we get from Varric's interludes and party banter.
