more enemies that recharge their shields when they go down, Enemies that use true Biotics to throw you and everything around to all to hell if you dont prep a defense for biotics (Not "Throwing a Warp RAWR", which = worthless attack that never hits) grenadiers, grenades for ourselves, floating gun platforms, a switch from cover system to Crouch and move around like in ME1 (I guess you could call it an *exploit* to genuinely fire from cover where the enemy would have to flank or relocate to have more than 3% of your body as a hitbox)

Rather than the

*Mine for an hour*

*Upgrade Squad*

Get to Cover, Fire at greatest threat, kill it in seconds (Even Praetorians and Scions on Insanity are a joke with Squad AP upgrade and Incendiary Squad Ammo, shocking really) return to cover, shields recharge, repeat till wave ends.

I miss the chaos and movement in ME1 fights, where the enemies would scramble radar if you didnt upgrade, while sniping you with poison bolts no less.  Theyd pop Immunity and Regens so youd need to take em down fast and time your attacks.

ME2 was severely watered down by comparison, its just too damn easy to run through on Max difficulty.  Granted ME1 hits a certain point when Shepard gets so powerful (My Soldier for example) that he can jut spam abilities, do massive damage, and never get taken down below 50% hp.  Immunity/shield boost/Overkill/Adrenaline Boost/CD INsta reset repeat.

TL;DR:  ME3 should bring back the old enemy types and tactics.  Wall Jumpers that sniped, enemies use poisoned ammo, enemies use real biotics like throw *often*, snipers (Rocket troops that you can see coming slowly a mile away dont even come close), and have all enemies or at least most be able to use shield boosts, immunities, Regens or a combo.

Otherwise its just gona feel like Im walking through it like I did with ME2 (at least I got to have a little fun with Customization and Leveling in ME1 in addition to the combat)

i dunno man. they made sense in ME1 because some of the firefights took place over LONG distances. in ME2 quarters were alil more cramped. Lots of cover and movement....so lots of snipers would be a waste. biotics are something i can see increased.

I rather have snipers back, I agree with the OP. I mean, in archangel's recruitment mission, he says that the mercs are deploying snipers.

No, they are not.

I'd also throw in true invisibility, like the agents from HL1 on hard, what's the point of a stealthed enemy whose revealed by a hit box

How is ME2 more cramped than ME1 (excluding mako parts)?

I found ME2 is all at range, yes there are lots of obstactles to cover behind between you and the enemies and you have to keep pushing forward, but the fact that you have to push (or charge) forward demonstrates that there is distance, as opposed to you already being in your enemies' faces.

In ME1 you'd go in and there'd be crates everywhere so you could only see 10 feet in front of you, and the moment you get spotted all hell breaks loose and the enemies are weaving all over the place.
T'was shotgun heaven and why I fell in love with Vanguards. I didn't need to charge to be in someone's face... I just was, and then I'd hit them in the face with a full load of shotgun pellets and watch them ragdoll hilariously.

I found myself making much better use of sniper rifles in ME2 than in ME1... aside from the terrible clip capacities for snipers, which is another topic entirely.

They said that more varried enemies and I assume that includes their tactics are one of the aims they have for ME3
