Every month, Toms Hardware updates the article in which they compare
performance to cost and tell everyone which ones give you the best frames per dollar.

Here is the April, 2011, installment:

Its predecessor sat on top of the budget list for a year before the HD 5670 edged it out (HD 4670), and it was a real bargain even longer, but the promise that Dx11 makes knocked it out of contention for no real reason.

I'll get me a new card as soon as the 8k Series from AMD is out.
For the moment my RadeonHD 4850 is still a rather fast pixel-pusher, and even though it does not support DX11, I can still play with full details at 1680x1050px resolution (without Anti-Aliasing, don't need it).

When I compared prices over the last two months, and did take MIRs into account, the net cost of the Radeon HD 6670 was better than an HD 5670, although the latest (January, 2012) Toms hardware article still has the 5670 getting best recommendations, because they ignore the rebates.

In the meanwhile, ME-3 is close to release (six weeks), so the official system requirements on that one should be revealed pretty soon. However, there have been numerous new members in the ME1 and ME2 Tech forums complaining of how poorly their laptops with Intel video chips are doing, and the drivers for nVIDIA's Optimus graphics continue to befuddle the games and allow the Intel IGPs to over-ride the Geforce.

I don't know that there will be any spillover here, but there are a lot more desktops the past year that had no real video in them, and need upgrades, so this reference may become more pertinent if there is.
