I know this is an impossible question since dragon age origins isn't out yet, but who cares.

I'd give it like a 9.8/10.

pros-

1. funny and interesting characters
2. Variety of monster types
3. origins adds more replayability, along with the game already having like 500 hours of gameplay in it.
4. game being difficult is a good thing.

cons-

1. im disappointed in a review saying it is only 10% exploring the world. I really hope the world is gigantic.
2. no color coded loot. I love this in my rpgs. If dungeon siege and diablo had this, why can't dragon age origins as well?

Why aren't you banned yet?

Edit: To avoid getting banned myself, to answer the OP 10/10 legit.

15/10!

I'm less critical of things than some. I'm also pretty black and white on most things. If I like them, it's the best thing EVAR at the time. If I don't, it sucks and should be burned.

From what I've heard, though, I'd give it a 10/10. See? There's that black and white crap again!

This time, at least, his post is quite a bit more constructive than yours. :P

Flamechamp23 is not only a flamechamp, he's the 23rd in that much-vaunted line. His spam threads straddle the line between spam and merely awkward, but vaguely on-topic threads full of odd comparisons and grammar errors. There are a million threads in this joint which bother me more than flamechamp23's, oddly enough.

To answer: I haven't played, so I don't know what I would rate it.

I'd give it an 8 / 10. 8 10 for the game and minus 2 for the price.

Here in Australia, it seems we're getting botched on the price. Seriously, more than a days wages for a game is a joke.

I can't rate something for which I have no experience with. I think you are meaning to rate how well the game has been marketed or how well first impressions are. For that I'd give it above average (8/10) simply because all this hype about the game can easily hide flaws ( and everything has flaws) that would not otherwise be obvious. I worry that all this hype is meant to hide problems with the game. I'm still getting it since there are very few good RPG games developed these days and it is very likely this game will be at least good (e.g. an 8 out of 10).

Okay, then, Champion de la flamme XXIII, I rate it  an A; top of the curve as far as games are concern. On an objective scale, probly around a 90% - there are things about it I wish were a little different, such as a bit nicer graphics and more non-essential but deep story-based quests. I'd also like a few more companions, maybe another mage and rogue. This is regardless of the feasibility of such changes, naturally.

I would say a 9 out of 10, but seeing as that Fallout got 100% at a bunch of places, guess it's gotta be a 12/10.

Hes doing a meta-score, obviously. Hes a troll, but hes the only good one weve got. Plus he manages to get all the people who KNOW him to respond to his threads and stay on topic most of the time.

Me? 89-91% off what Ive seen. To clarify Ive spent over 100 hours, no exxageration, in Fable 2 and Id rate that game 75%.

Definetely above 8/10 from what I've seen so far.

Here's my take on why:

1) Great story, good characters, interesting and meaningfull dialogue that matters.

2) Origin stories seems like a new and fresh way to start game (probably, not though).

3) Visuals aren't everything, but I do agree that some of the visuals do look a bit blocky at times - great environments, though.

4) Personally, I don't like the main quest, building an army to help fight the Blight and the blight. (Others might, though)

5) Combat is very similar to BG1 and BG2; so far, I like what I've read and seen.

6) NPCs in your party will leave if they don't like you or you do something that they don't like.

Id give the marketing campaign a 7/10, It was good at attracting attention to the game but failed in properly informing people without requiring additional research (ie. reading the game forms).

The only game in the history of all games in the universe that I'd give a 10 out of 10 to is Planescape: Torment.

That said, based on what I've seen of Dragon Age so far (which is quite a lot, actually), I'd give it a 9.7 out of 10, with the possibility of that score going even higher once I play it.

I think that at the worst, I'll probably consider it at least a 9.4 out of 10. If there was anything that I'd dislike enough to drop the score lower than that, I think I'd already know about it.
