Howdy folks.
Just starting a new game with Yoshi in the party. From the last few run throughs, I noticed that he starts to complain if I take my time in going to see Renal Bloodscalp and doing the Shadow Thief quests.
Seeing as I want to leave that particular quest till last (role-playing that my pally doesn't trust Yoshi enough yet) is there any danger of him leaving the party forever?
I know that the standard approach with NPCs who complain is to do what they want ASAP or they will leave (Jaheira/Khalid in BG1 for example) but I really want to keep Yoshi around until the plot makes him leave.
Same question applies for that annoying Nalia witch. Will she leave if I don't do her quest immediately? I really want a mage in the party but might not do her Keep quest straight away.
Any danger of Yoshimo leaving

Yoshi won't leave I don't think. I've never had him leave and it wouldn't make sense for him to do so as because of why he is there to begin with. Usually, when you initially enter the district and he brings RB up, he defers to your judgement and says he knows you can take care of yourself but that it might make things easier but that he's okay with whatever you decide.

Don't think so. He's there for a reason and it wouldn't fit his purpose if he did.
Normally, when you enter the district he mentions RB but defers to your judgement saying he knows you can take care of yourself but that it might make things easier. That RB could be a good person to know etc.
(My first post didn't show up initially so I typed it again - sorry for the duplicate reply)

I think that's right for Yoshimo. Nalia, however, will leave if you don't do her quest within a reasonable time (you don't have to do it immediately). She will warn you she's getting impatient before going.

Doesn't he just want to talk to the guy... not do the quest yet?

Possibly, but I always feel that if I talk to a quest-giver, I should endeavour to start their quest as soon as I am able. I wouldn't want to leave RB's quest till later once I'd spoken to him.
If Yoshi won't leave though, it isn't a problem. I'll just ignore his requests to visit RB.

For planning purposes (since spoilers are allowed) RB doesn't blow a gasket if you don't do his quest and Yoshi is allowed to continue also.
Since I always play LG characters I never do that quest but I usually brave the grumbling of my party and visit RB out of professional respect for my LOYAL Yoshiman! I actually enjoy the banter between Yoshi and RB.
