Crashes on Illium

First off, I will say i'v never once had a crash on ME1 in the over 500+ total accumulated hours in the game. The only crash was when my MBR completely fried due to something unrelated.

Up to this point of the game in ME2, I'v had very very few crashes. Most due to holding down space (rebound keys so space brings up the pause for selection), and right-clicking on the skills in the quick-slot bar. Other than that, I'v only had one or two, and they haven't been consecutive.

However, with patch 1.02 installed, then installing Arrival, Kasumi, and Shadow Broker DLC, I am crashing like crazy, but only in Illium it seems. I just finished the Miranda loyalty quest, with and it crashed a couple times, nothing bad though. However, now just trying to walk around the trade center area's, my game keeps crashing. It's done it three time's in the same spot, and a few other times in varying locations.

Is this something that has a connection to it I can fix, or am I just SOL?

EDIT:: For reference, the consistant crash is happening in the corridor on the level below Liara's office. It happens just before the bend. Always at the same spot.

This seems to be a common issue with Lair of the Shadow Broker. Running the game in Windowed mode is a work-around for some people.

I have this issue sometimes and, as said, playing in windowed mode works for me.

This crash is actually not Lair Of The Shadow Broker, but a bug in ATI's drivers that affects ATI videocards, espicially the Radeon 4800 series cards. I know this for a fact, as when I had a pair of Radeon 4800's I expierenced this issue on Illium and on Omega.

This crash also happened whether or not one's system was Windows 7 64 bit or Vista 64 bit.

After I dumped the Radeon 4870's I had, and got a pair of GeForce GTX 460's this crash quit. So to the original poster, if you have an ATI videocard that's your problem.

Incorrect, this hallway crash has been reported for Nvidia cards too.

If you've been re-installing your OS or even just ME2, I'd guess the re-installation is more likely what did it, though maybe having different graphics cards/drivers helped too.
