The SSV Normandy is Commander Shepar's ship that gets Shepard and the team into and out of some of the most dangerous missions in known space. Now you can own your own miniature desktop replica of the Mass Effect 2 SSV Normandy. This 6 inch replica comes with a stand is is perfect for docking on your desk while the team is away on missions.

You can pre-order your SSV Normandy replica for $35 at the BioWare Store

Nope. Quick peek at at the paint job says SR2.

But .... Nnnn. It doesn't look very well made looking up close.

It can be shipped to the UK, there's no other way you will be able to get this.

Do BioWare have plans for a SSV Normandy SR1 replica in the future?

How do pre orders from the Bioware store work?

Are you charged at purchase or when the item/s are ready to ship?

i know it's not a big deal, but i kinda wish I hadn't seen what the Normandy will look like in ME3... I wanted to be surprised... but it's just a paint job and I already figured that would be a definite change, so... oh well... at least it looks really nice and am now excited to take control of it again!

Wait, it's weird. It has the Systems Alliance logo and the SR2 designation ...

... unless it is how the SR2 will look like in Mass Effect 3!

This has been explained in the Game Informer article. I'm not posting spoilers here but you can find an explanation somewhere in this forum if you want to look for it.

Just to confirm, this is the same model from the Things from Another World site, right?

For what it's worth, I hope they de-emphasize the grid lines from the hull but I love the new livery.

"Measuring at 6 1/4" long, this custom-crafted miniature version of the SSV Normandy is the first replica of the ship."

First replica? Will there be bigger models in the future?

Love the new color scheme, and that Alliance logo seems to say something for ME3

Well it says on the product page:
Please note: these photos are of a prototype; the final product may vary slightly.

I get what you mean though and I do hope the final product is better.  Specifically that they put in a better stand for it.
Right now it looks like they cut off the top of a wine glass and used the rest as the stand.

Could do, but I think it means that it's the first one that's ever been released.  Slight difference in interpretation. :)

Doubt it. Those lines are probably meant to emphasize that the Normandy was taken apart and then "stitched together" by the Alliance, like a visual representation of "scarring" left by the renovators.

It looks neat, but I definitely loved the sleek, aerodynamic look of the ME1/2 Normandys. Of course, it could just be the modeler's interpretation; the in-game model will probably look smoother.
