In Game informer it informs about the game (appropriately) that the SR2 from ME2 is taken by the alliance and claimed as theirs. Hence the new paint job on the old ME2 design. It is supposed to be different inside, slightly, after alliance modifications. I do agree there should be an SR1 version as well as ME2 Cerberus paint job versions too. Also a friend of mine likes building plastic models, including star trek and the like. Plastic models of these could be wicked.
One last thing. It would be cool to have all the models that Shepard does in her quarters in ME2. Including the shadow broker ship. If they wanted to make a real buck they could make all those ships and a display to replicate that.

EA could make money on doing all 3 Normandy Ships so I agree

Just bought it! For those of you who are planning to buy it, instead of buying it from the bioware store, you can buy it from here: http://www.darkhorse...dy-Ship-Replica It's a lot cheaper and international shipping is cheaper too. Just click on the pre-order button at the top left corner.

Yeah, cheaper from TFAW and apparently they don't charge you until the item is ready to ship.

SR-2 looks good. Now can we get rest of ships we could collect in-game? I'd love to have them.
(human and turian Cruisers look especially nice and Sovereing)

Pre-ordered. Just hope i dont move, i cant find the place to change your shipping adress on the website.

I moved after pre-ordering the action figures. Even after you've submitted your order, you can go to "Contact Support" in your store's account and simply write to them asking them to change it. I did and it worked fine.

And I'm so pre-ordering two of the Normandy.

Isn't it obvious?

We'd take off her helmet to see what her head looks like!

Screw that. Legos. Lego ME ships is what we need. I'd throw down $150-$200 for some high-quality lego sets.

Got mine ordered. Now I have two things to wait for. Oh well, maybe I can fly my little ship around while I wait for the game to come out. Not that I don't think that both will completely justify the wait.

Anyone find out for sure what they're going to be made of?

Hopefully not that rubber/latex stuff the prototype appears to me made from. $35 seems a bit excessive for a painted chunk of rubber.

Not bad. However, I would still like to sell my right hand for a Garrus plushie :)  Or a Legion one <3

Yeah... not a fan of the segmented look. I don't know what that's supposed to be either, additional armor plating or something? The Normandy is supposed to be a sleek, shiny technological marvel, this looks like a space maggot.

In the descreption at the bioware store it says it's only a prototype. Let's hope that it will be improved before it hits the shelves.

Sent off a message to Dark Horse asking about the actual material used, as no one at Bio seems to know, judging by the lack of answers.

Hopefully I'll get an answer soon and can post an update.

They may have run out of that one. I know I got one in my order of ME2 figures, so they were probably using those as bonuses for having to deal with DC's idiocy with release dates.

No idea if they're going to be restocked. Jedi or one of the others would have to update you on that one.

Hey Bioware, ask Corgi to make it. They would be the company that would make it right. I buy it is they did. I have alot of their collecter sets,100th Annv. of flight, War machines. Maybe you can get them to do a set of ME vehicles.

edit add- I got a corgi space shuttle and realized about a year after Columbia got destroyed, the name on mine was Columbia. It was part of the Space race set along this lunar capsule and X-11.
