So I'm almost finished with my first playthrough of Golems of Amgarrak (On Hard) and I came across the room with the Reapers Cudgel which is guarded by four Elite Boss level Golems and two Boss level Golems. All I can say is this fight is impossible to win without cheap tactics... The stupid rock throwing is the reason for this because once you get back up another rock throw knocks you down and even if you resist it your still pushed back and can whether multiple blows before you take a poultice... I finally ended up winning by Spamming Poultices on the Warrior Dwarf with him using all the salves while my main character (DW basckstab rogue) took them all out while they were preoccupied. The Golem and my Archer Dwarf decided to get killed early on... So is there any easier way to win this fight?! I'm going to play through again on Nightmare with my Arcane Battlemage.

By the way, this is way harder then the actual final boss...

Do you have Legion Scout spec? That certainly helps on a rogue PC. Give it to the dwarf rogue, too.

I had a Manual of Focus with me and re-spec'ed the warrior to DW. Not sure if you consider that a "cheap tactic." Cheap is what wins, in my book.

As I recall, you should be able to find a control for a golem of your own. The Golem itself can then be found at the bottom of some stairs, as I remember it. Can't you use the Golem's healing abilities...?

You did read my thread didn't you...? The Golem died at the beginning of the fight from being overwhelmed. Regardless, if I use abilities to get the Golems to attack someone else they all use area damage attacks. The Golem was the first to go, followed by the Archer Rogue.

Zilch?  That's impossible.  Unless you ran out of stamina and couldn't maintain the shields.  Legion Scout gives zero knockdown, zero damage capability.  How can that possibly be of no use?

The Legion Scout spec is indeed very helpfull; I've have had on both Sigrun and Oghren and the dwarf companion in this DLC. You need to activate something else first as I recall and drink a lot of stamina potions.

And yes, I did read the thread. didn't see the part about the golem, though, sorry...

Well I use Momentum, Shadow Form, and Weak Points all at once so I generally run low on stamina from long battles. Since I couldn't backstab the golems (Bug perhaps?) I switch to Twin Striking in place of momentum so I could do some damage. Problem is, I seemed to miss alot without using talents and since talents use stamina, and I need stamina to maintain Strength of Stone, I ran out pretty fast. All the potions I did have I went through pretty quick as well :/.

And no problem aries, I just assumed you were a topic skimmer and people who do that annoy me.. Ha ha.

Would you consider your rogue to be durable? My rogue had 75 dex, 75, cun and 40 con, and was able to hold his own pretty well. The golems couldn't connect with any regular melee attacks due to my rogue's high defense, and with some patience and a few health poultices, my rogue was able to slowly take the golems out one by one. Try to take out the weaker golems first (lower rank) as they have less health. My rogue had momentum on, and mainly used regular melee attacks along with dual weapon sweep, whirlwind, and maybe dirty fighting when available. I can't remember if I had him use any of the rogue or legionnare scout talents to make him not take damage.

As my rogue was killing things pretty fast and feeling overpowered from Origins and on, I found this fight to be fun and rewarding, especially since he got minimal help from his companions.

What is your dex?  A rogue should not be missing.

Shadow is useless IMO.  I did use Weak Points, but in these fights you have to invest in defense, so disable it if you're running low on stamina.  You can't hit anything when you're dead.  Do whatever you have to do to keep the Legion Scout talents running.  Defense runes also help, and yeah, stamina potions are pretty critical.  If you're already out of them, the end boss is going to be tough.

Con- Base (20 with boosts), Cun- 115 (130 with boosts), Dex 52 (60 with boosts), Wp 18 (24 with boosts), and Str- 24. One of the golems hit me with an accuracy penalty I believe, thats why.

And with my backstab rogue (Shadow being part of it) all normal enemies were one backstab Ko'd and the Harvester himself only took around 30 hits before I destroyed his flesh body.
