I bought the Ultimate edition that was on sale via Steam and everything seems to have downloaded and installed properly, however when I try to log onto the Dragon Age servers while in game I keep getting an error message telling me to try again later.
I've registered the game on Biowares' web site and did all the little things I am supposed to do but it seems I cannot access any of the DLC unless I am logged onto the servers. Do I have to have a constant connection to the servers in order to access the DLC or just one time to activate it?
Has anyone else had this issue and might be able to point in the direction of getting it resolved?

You need to connect once in order to activate (IIRC). Once activated, provided you load the game in 'logged out' mode and don't try to log in, you don't need to reactivate - although if you're bothered about achievement uploads, you'll need to log in at some point to register them.
It sounds like the difficulty is with connecting to the Bioware server - I assume you've flagged DAO as an exception amongst antivirus, firewalls, etc?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I was able to get it to work. Mind you this is for the Steam version
Did all the firewall stuff
Then I followed the advice of this post:
http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=1663042
Also make sure you register BOTH cd keys on the Bioware website AND create a user profile. I didn't register the DLC cd-key at first and that was were my problem was. I couldn't find a place to input the code and just figured it would automatically recognize that it was the Ultimate Edition. I registered the DLC cd-key under the "Redeem Code" option under my user profile and that opened the DLC.
After doing all those steps I reset my password per the advice of the above post and everything clicked. All DLC is opened and authorized and I am able to connect to the Dragon Age servers.
Hope this helps anyone else with the Steam version....Good Luck

Currently I just have the problem that it keeps saying that it cannot connect to the dragon age servers while i'm ingame playing..
I have registered and all so I dont know why it does this..
I've had the game for a long time but it just started doing this now.

It's not necessary to remain online to play the game. I never did so, myself.
