No new LIs... so the people who lost every possible LI in ME1 and 2 have to go with... Liara... or no romance? Okay. It kind of ticks me off. It shouts to me that there won't be too many more characters added, which is fine I guess... but I really would've liked some new characters other than ANOTHER human.
Developing on old stories is fine, but I want some new ones too! Of course I understand that this just bloats the cast list more, but where is my new Quarian, where is my new Krogan, Turian, Salarian. Come on!
I at least want a male Quarian, would be interesting to get a new perspective on Quarian life. Doesn't have to be a romance, but I'm sure the ladies would love some quarian action too.
No new LI's doesn't mean no new squadmates of characters.
You want a male quarian? I'll bet Kal'Reegar will be a temporary squadmate, or at least you will meet him, during the resolution of the Quarian/Geth conflict.
I want a permanent new squadmate, hell its possible James Sanders is just a character for the beginning. Actually, I want at least a few. I do not want 5 humans and (possibly) only 1 alien aboard my ship! (not that I ever let anyone die

)
Temp squadmate just doesn't cut it for me I think. Of course, not getting a new Krogan or Asari this time around is completely understandable (though I really wish I could have Shiala), I do think that there should at least be a new Turian, Quarian and Slarian (as there has only been one of each of these as a squadmate). Kal'Reegar and that Salarian from Virmire (forgot his name) both are good candidates, as neither can die (right?). They could have been romances too had Bioware felt the need to exclude any new characters from being a romance (still ticked).
Sorry if I rambled and ranted a bit too much.

Edit: About Star Wars. I grew up with the new Star Wars movies, and I loved them and still love the first two. I also love the old ones, and love them more and more. You have to remember that Star Wars is for KIDS. I understand your mysticism was apparently ruined by one line in a movie apparently. I guess because I grew up knowing that you had to be "force sensitive" to be a jedi, I never really cared, and I still don't care. YOU CANNOT BE A JEDI. It's still magic, despite that crappy line, which was obviously a way to explain the force in a scientific way, bad idea we all know. Hopefully, George Lucas will fix some of his mistakes, and not make more. Yep.
