I hope you are aware that same Heavy Cruiser has the most advanced armor, weaponry, shields, and engines. It also has an actual AI (Reaper enhanced AI) and the best pilot in the Alliance Navy flying it.Lizardviking wrote...

I hope you also are aware that a heavy-frigate could take out the collector cruiser in a straight up fight?
Heavy Frigate isn't the right word for it.
The Normandy SR-2 can be fully un-upgraded and still easily crush the cruiser. And remember, it's shields had just been severely weakened from going through the debris field. Sure it had Joker and EDI. But if one single heavy-frigate completely wrecked the cruiser, then I am sure a few normal alliance frigates or cruisers would do the job just fine.

What, you think they get an editorial pass on every article written about their games?

It is too late for that, the company who makes the magazine is not going to recall all the magazine they printed. Too much money is lost.ExtremeOne wrote...

Ok then if they will not ask for a retraction or a correction . Then if they do not want to clear up what part of the pc gamer article is wrong . Its bull sh*t either its true or its not true . Which is it Bioware its a simple question

Maybe but remember Turian cruisers were easily destroyed by the Collector Cruiser without taking any damage. The only reason why the unupgraded Normandy was even able to take it out was by getting into knife fight range using a frigate that is faster than any other Frigate out there and using Javeling Torpedoes that heavily damaged the Normandy SR2 that was already armored as good as a cruiser or better.
My opinion. The SR2 unupgraded won by speed and maneuverability. It would make sense since the Turian Cruisers were immediately eliminated by the Collector ship without trouble.

Bioware obviously likes to let fans get pissed off at things about the game (Delaying ME3, Cerberus probably working for the Reapers etc.) and explain things much later. I doubt they would answer the question with E3 so close by.ExtremeOne wrote...

I would say the only reason the Collector cruiser had any succses is because it always managed to get the jumo on the opposition.

Uh-huh. They're gonna read this and go "ZOMG!! We better answer that ExtremeOne guy! I mean, what if he makes Ash stay on the Normandy the whole time in ME3 because we refused to answer? Or rants on the forum? We cannot let this question go unanswered!"

If thats true (its possible) than that supports some of my statements. The Collectors advantage is surprise and advanced weaponry. They will continuosly be superior and better at engagements as long as the Council can't find them. Without Shepard the Collectors could easily just keep attacking and will eventually be done with completing the Human Reaper.Lizardviking wrote...

Of course some people seem to think that a Reaper is a push over.

But that kind of tactic is only going to work on outlying colonies?

It seemed like the Alliance have trouble to responding to an invasion force attacking a major colony world. They could only send one Frigate which already was extremely fast for its era.

They didn't send any frigate to aid the colony. The Normandy just happened to be heading there anyway, and it was all over before reinforcements could have arrived.
