I'm glad they'd confirmed everyone is going to be there. They did that in ME2, there were cameos from everyone and I loved that. I knew they wouldn't disappoint me 


And I'm sure they're going to make a big effort, trying to satisfy all their fans. Yes, now I'm speaking as if I was indoctrinated by Bioware

Ladies and gentlemen of the supposed jury, that does NOT. MAKE. SENSE.

It makes perfect sense if you gave them the collector base.  Every time an organic tries to utilize Reaper tech, it ends badly.  Every time.  As you can read in the novels, Cerberus thinks they are different, but they are wrong.

And yet having blown up the base, I can't see that working out too well. No reaper tech, no indoctrination. No indoctrination, then the reapers are still "the greatest threat of our brief existance"

Yeah. Definitely! 

But in all seriousness, I agree with you. And the 'cameos' from the major players of ME1 in ME2, such as they were, were fine with me. My immediate reaction to 'catching up with Wrex', 'seeing Anderson feeling helpless' and (the admittedly iffy) 'rough patch with the Virmire Survivor' was something along the lines of...

"Man, looks like lots of placeholders for an exciting Mass Effect 3. Can't wait!'

...so I've been happy with ME2's more questionably dangling threads and gearing up for the third act for some time.

Makes perfect sense. The Reapers want to bring Humans up to their level. TIM wants humans to surive and achieve greater status. They kinda want the same things. We will be changed by the process but we will survive, but if we fight many will die. I think he's looking at it in terms of the greater good.

Why did TIM want the base? For just the intel? No. This is why my Shep blew up the Collector base. TIM would have been making human smoothies by the next day.

TIM wants to be a Reaper. He flat out says (if Shep blows up the base) that "that technology could have assured human dominance against the Reapers and beyond." Shep replies: "Human dominance, or yours?" TIM replies: "Strength for Cerberus is strength for all humanity."

He doesn't know the difference any more.

thats assuming they've turned the queen. She could be free with whats left of her people and they could aid us.

Can't say I didn't see that one coming, considering that their leader was implanted with Reaper tech.

I hope so because it looks like the paragon ending of 2 is the default storyline in 3. so at least something will come out of the pointless story that 2 has

Regarding the love interests, we should recall that it says no new love interests are there. New is the keyword here. I wouldn't be surprised if we could start a relationship with Ashley/Kaidan and the others in ME3. In other words, I believe they're making existing love interests (at least some of them) potential romance options for ME3, rather than creating new ones from scratch.

Has anyone even stopped to think that it's Cerberus TROOPS that are indoctrinated, and not the illusive man? The illusive man for all we know joins our cause; he's too awesome to be put down.

Although.... One thing I would be disappointed about, is the Rachni Queen being reduced to a mindless shrieking beast and won't have any dialogue whatsoever, followed by a short cameo of her.
And if the illusive man does have a role with the reapers, siding with them or is indoctrinated, no amount of cheese could ever fill such a narrative.
