And if you're here to argue about the lack of, hm, complexity in their motives, than that's already soil better left for Bioware to figure out themselves. Because, you know, it's them making the game. Having story arcs planned years in advance, all that.
Bioware better come with something better than that . In Mass Effect 2 we are told things are different with Cerberus and they want to destroy the reapers and collectors. Now in 3 Bioware makes them a evil group of bastards . what that reeks of is bull sh*t story telling in ME 2.

And I'm very looking forward to see that Adept "Melee" Biotic Power in action! It's going to be so tough waiting for the game!

I will say this in english . If they do not make any of the ME 2 squad part of the squad in 3 . Then they are basically saying Mass Effect 2 was nothing more than a side quest and its characters are worthless and mean nothing in the ME universe . so far ME 3 is already looking like a high def remake of ME 1 with its story and Cerberus being evil

And that overthrows my argument in what way? I'm not here to argue opinions, please - they just have a tendency to not coincide with each other. I'm simply stating how lore facts clearly led Cerberus to where it is in ME3 (according to PC Gamer).

*Garrus and Tali are already confirmed, and Bioware is saving information about other characters for later reveals. No need to panic yet.

I think it's still too soon to assume that. I'd say they'll probably incorporate some ME2 characters in the 3rd (some devs already hinted as such, I believe, but don't quote me on that).
The truth is, we still have very little to go by to see for ourselves. A teaser, two screenshots and little else. Until we get to see more, the magazine's takes on the information given to them is as good as anyone's. They could be extrapolating from bits and pieces of scattered info. And even then, these things are subject to change. We're still a long way from seeing the completed game.
Bottom line, we still need to wait for more info we can get directly from BioWare and see it for what it is.

Nice to see someone with sense on this forum, and the restraint not to leap to judgements about a game we know very little of.

*wait for nerdrage...3, 2, 1, GO!

BULL****, I CALL BULL****. IT CAN'T BE. NO WAY. I'M IN DENIAL. WHAT THE ****??? The sole purpose of Cerberus resurrecting Shepard was to FIGHT THE REAPERS. WHAT THE HELL BIOWARE??? THERE MUST BE A TWIST. I CAN'T ACCEPT IT. GOD PLEASE, DON'T GO ON INDOCRINATION ROUTE, SAREN 2.0 OR GREEDINESS FOR POWER. PLEASE. PLEASE DON'T.
*calms down, sees Priestly's post
I'm not even raging because my main Paragade Sole Survivor gave them the Base, but because it completely ruins Cerberus and Tim and it makes no freakin' sense.
I'll wait for a twist on the game or it being just a bad interpretation on PC Gamer (highly possible).

Aye if the people writing this didn't even realise that was Ashley it's not realy trustworthy. So take everything said here with a pinch of salt. In fact take everything said about ME3 that isn't a clear dev quote that can't be misinterpreted with a pinch of salt.aksoileau wrote...
Yay let's all make conclusions based on a sloppy article under the impression that Ashley is a femshep variant! Yay!!!

Chris Priestly said as much on page 2 of this very thread, but most people have ignored that and leapt to their own conclusion anyway. Oh well.

I wouldn't worry, we have Portal 2, Deus Ex, Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and a plethora of other games to pass the time with. Thats going to be an expensive Christmas

And the whole Cerberas thing kinda makes sense to me.. I always thought it (Probably for the wrong reasons), but TIM's eyes always reminded me of Saren's eyes, so I always thought maybe he was slightly under their mind control.

Just because one piece of info is erroneous doesn't mean the rest of it is. I really hope the Cerberus working for Reapers bit is BS but I ain't holding my breath.

Oh I know, it may be true. I already voice some concern with this earlier but it should not be treated as a fact until we actually see proof of it, mistakes in the article don’t exactly help its credibility, if there is oen there may be others and is not worth really freaking out about just yet. Same goes for everything else really.

People people please calm down and use some logic here. Now the whole Reaper thing could simply be if you decided to keep the base. If you don't see TIM getting indoctrinated inside the Collector Base you don't have very good foresight.
That would only be if TIM was stupid enough to actually go inside the base himself. Which he should not do if he has any sense with something this risky. He should not be on site with the risky experiments and if there is risk of indoctrination people should not be coming and going.

Well, of course, but where one mistake exists, so may others. And when said mistake is a glaring one, that really should ratchet up one's skepticism about the rest, even if only a little.

Cerberus is working with the Reapers? A lot of people speculated this, and I have to admit I was slightly anticipating it, but after reading Evolution, I really really wonder how they'll make it make sense.
And just making TIM indoctrinated overnight doesn't count.
