The debate that video games are art is one that has plagued us all for many years. Many believe it is, while others shudder at the mere thought. With its growing grasp into our media each year, video games have been accepted by many as a TRUE art form in more ways than one.

Last year The Smithsonian Museum had come to the decision to feature an exhibit showcasing some of the BEST video game artwork. They had 240 games on their list and called out to people worldwide to vote and decide which among them should be showcased in such an honor.

Flash forward to now and the list of games are revealed! Out of 240 games, only 80 will be displayed in the exhibit.
To our delight - Mass Effect 2 is among them 
To be in the presense of such cult classics like Legend of Zelda, Pac Man, Final Fantasy VII, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted 2 and so much more is an honor. Congrats to Bioware!

Of course- there isnt any glimpse as to what art will be used - seeing as the list was just revealed mere hours ago. The exhibit will take place next year March 16th - September 30th.

There are some. . . interesting choices for the gallery. But yeah, Mass Effect 2 had great art direction.
