To keep this short, Bioware has talked about how they will closely guard plot spoilers this time around when trying to market ME3. They also said that the reason why Cerberus is after Shepard is something that they are keeping close to their chest and the players will just have to play the game to find out.

Well if anyone read the recent PC Gamer article or looked at the scans, you might have found out why Cerberus is attacking Shepard. I won't spoil it for you but it is a definate plot spoiler.

I would really like Chris P or someone from Bioware to explain why they lied to us and gave us this false impression and/or comfort that the Cerberus attacking Shepard (along with other major plot spoilers) would not be given out to the media to eventually tell us. Yet in the PC Gamer article, it CLEARY states why Cerberus is after Shepard.

Does Bioware have a short term memory?

You're a class act Bioware and you finally gave me a reason to not follow your game until release.

Heh, maybe they actually listened to ExtremeOne's many demands to know exactly why Cerberus is after Shep.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up.  I certainly don't want to know the "why" yet.  I'll be avoiding the spoiler forum.

If I were you, I would avoid all of these forums as people will be talking about the Cerberus thingy very casually.

It is said that we are about a year away from release and I we are already having to begin from guarding ourselves from spoilers espectially after Bioware has constantly said that they will keep the Cerberus secret close to their chest.

so, why did you look at the scans and/or came onto these forums, knowing there was the possibility of spoilers? Oh wait, yeah, a sense of entitlement. Should''ve known.

The PC Gamer article IS right. If it was wrong, then Chris P. or someone from Bioware would have came out and said that certain information was false.

However notice that Chris doesn't actually deny that information, he just says that if it isn't a quote from Casey, then don't believe it. Well if that is the case, then we should not believe anything from the GI article because a lot of that didn't have Casey quotes.

I think Bioware just got caught with their pants down and now they don't want to admit that they failed to deliever on a promise and the damn game isn't even out yet.

First off the only magazine article that I am holding to be confirmed fact is the Game Informer article. The other I am holding with a grain of sand.

At the end of the day if you don't want to be spoiled then steer clear of promotional stuff.  When they are promoting the game it is inevitable that spoilers will be present.  So at the end of the day it is your own personal responsibility to steer clear of spoilers if they are that problematic to you.

Because Bioware made it clear that the Cerberus secret would NOT be known publicly until we actually play the game.

I was stupid enough to believe Bioware so I deserved to be spoiled.

Until BioWare stats it is fact, the article in PC Mag is a writers interpretations of what might have been said in an interview.

So why did Bioware lie about not letting the Cerberus secret out yet?

You guys would defend Bioware no matter what, even when it is clear they lied.

Then Bioware basicaally F**king lied to us all and the pc gamer mag article really makes Mass Effect 2's story completely  pointless since work ng with Cerberus in 2 is a joke . Oh I know they got caught that post he made smells of damage control .

Oh please Bioware has been hiding the reason ever since it was mentioned in the GI article . If they had a logical reason for it then why hide it . Now the truth is out things are different

While there is indeed an article in PC Gamer, keep in mind unless the article says "Casey Hudson said..." or similar, what they are writing is their take on the information they have seen (this applies to ALL media/magazines/websites, etc). Don't get too worked up on any one item until you hear it confirmed by BioWare someplace.

It's a little dissappointing. It would have been original having more than two factions this time.
