Bioware lies to us again: Mass Effect 3 isn't even out yet and Bioware has already failed to deliver on one of their promises.

First off the only magazine article that I am holding to be confirmed fact is the Game Informer article. The other I am holding with a grain of sand.

im inclined to go along with this.  everyother mag confirms its info. the others only add pics and  one or 2 tidbits of info that no other has yet to support as anything other than speculation.
Bioware gave the big scoop and interviews....makes the info seems more legit. PSM and PC Gamer make me scratch my head.

That's the thing: it's not clear.  Journalists have been known to get things wrong, and all you have is really just a bunch of speculation.  Until I have some actual confirmation, I'm simply not interested in grabbing a torch and joining the mob.  But, you know, have fun storming the castle.

You don't want ME3 spoiled? Stay away from the spoiler forum. Plain and simple. And when you see a topic called "_____ release info on ME3" don't read it.

Short story: Your fault

So lets get this straight. You went along and dug up all the possible information you could on ME3, and then complain about spoilers?

Dont want spoilers? Then ignore all media sources, ignore the forums, and bury yourself in a cave until its released. You look at media sources, you have noone to blame but yourself.

They said that they'd keep the reason WHY Cerberus is after Shepard close to their chest. OP, you fail logic forever.

While there is indeed an article in PC Gamer, keep in mind unless the article says "Casey Hudson said..." or similar, what they are writing is their take on the information they have seen (this applies to ALL media/magazines/websites, etc). Don't get too worked up on any one item until you hear it confirmed by BioWare someplace.

Hmmmm............

Note he says all media and mags . Is he saying we should not believe the Game Informer Mag article or the SR 2 model they have for sale on their store site . that has alliance colors and its logo on it as well

All I hear from people on these forums now-a-days is whining. If you don't like it stay off the forums, I'm tired of having to search through all the whining to read the interesting points on these forums.

And if you read the PC Gamer article, they mistake Ashley for fem-shep, so anything they've said I'm taking with a grain of salt.

Again, you fail to see that Bioware lied. Casey Hudson clearly stated that the Cerberus thingy is a closely guarded secret and we would have to play the game to find out why they are fighting us.

Bioware is in the wrong because they said one thing and did exactly the other.

No I am not if all the media and mag articles have it wrong about the game then that can be applied to their own store .

Why do I get the feeling that you also take everything written on Wikipedia as pure unbiased fact, with no room for interpretation.

Actually I have been rather critical of Bioware in the past on a number of issues.  I am not a Bioware fanboy here, I think the way they do some things stinks to high hell, I just don't have a problem with this issue you have raised but naturally that must make me a "fanboy" then.

I do not see a problem here, Bioware want to promote the game and that can't be done without some level of spoilage.  If you have a problem with spoilers then it is UP TO YOU to avoid them. Don't read previews, don't visit topics discussing game plot lines and just keep an eye out for a release date and that should keep you perfectly spoiler free.

Well, being a complete sucker for this sort of thing, I have only one question:

Where can I find the news. (Goes to the confirmed features thread.)

From the Game Informer article:

"The organization's motives for trying to stop Shepard are a closely guarded secret at Bioware, and gamers won't know the truth until they play Mass Effect 3 themselves."

Actually, you are, genius: there's an actual Casey Hudson quote in the GI article about the Alliance taking the Normandy and doing a refit. You really ought to remember since you've only thrown, oh, roughly eleventy-billion fits about it.

Ok thats cute but when one has to do damage control on a mag article so quickly that tends to lead to the mag being right about the info .

What I am getting at (And what everyone seems to ignore) is that Bioware said that the reason why Cerberus is after Shepard is a secret and will only be revealed when we play the game. Then they do a complete 180 and allow this magazine to post by Cerberus is after Shepard.

Bioware says they won't do one thing but actually does it in the end. I do not know where you are from but from how I was raised, that is a trait of something/someone that isn't trustworthy as they cannot hold onto their word/promises.

They tell us that we won't find out about Cerberus until we play the game yet they allow the PC mag to post the truth about them knowing that the public is going to read it?

Well first off the new Normandy has been confirmed by bioware.
Second, they also confirmed the GI.

IM MORE INCLINED TO BLAME THE MAGAZINE AND AUTHOR THAN BIOWARE ON THIS.....assuming there is some "truthiness" AND the audacity to drop the news in such a matter-of-fact way. until further notice anyways.

If PC Gamer got the wrong info then Bioware should just say that . No what was said was part of that article is wrong . What part is that exactly .  If one will not openly denie the info as false then its only logical to view the info as legit info on the game

I'm laughing at anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled yet they're dumb enough to read articles on the game in gaming magazines.

If you don't want to be spoiled (herp and derp) don't read any press on the game.
