I am level 38 and breaking into the multi-slot weapons and armor now.
I read through the FAQs and even the list of strategy guides and if this was asked I missed it.
Does same mods stack on the same weapon/armor?
For example do two rail extenders double the damage (and heat) bonus/penalty?
Or do two Kinetic Buffers stack the cooldown? 16% + 16% = 32% cooldown reduction?
Is the stacking linear or some formula?

If you're interested in how the mods work, as far as damage goes, here is how it works (warning there is a fair amount of math involved. This thread also includes how armor damage reduction is calculated.

As far as cooldowns go, pretty close but it may be slightly off, more like 25-30% on reduction because of the way it is calculated. I don't know if the actual formals were ever released but having dual mods in armor does help in reductions. As far as weapons go, on the heat end, yeah, you will get a bunch of extra heat, also maybe not double but close.
