Now as we all know ME3 is going to be about a full-on Reaper invasion. And if we look back on ME1 and 2 we can see the scale of combat has never really been "big". (I'm only talking gameplay not cutscenes)

So with ME3 this is a better time than any to introduce "big" combat and by that I mean having many more enemys and allys.

ME1 sort of touched on this with some missions like "UNC: Listening post Alpha".
But still it would be cool if in ME3 we had Alliance marines or Krogan's fighting a long side us.

If you want examples of massive battles in video games then look no further than say Uncharted 2 a game that has a combat system very similar to Mass effect (3rd person, you take cover, you can swap weapons Etc) but who's combat is also on a much larger scale and a lot more varied.

We've seen BioWare craft some truly epic moments in the Mass effect series like the battle at the Citadel or the suicide mission. However gameplay wise BioWare have never really brought there iconic sense of scale to gameplay.
So hopefully BioWare will have battles with more than 10 enemies and instead really, really bring a sense of "big" to ME3's gameplay.
