Yep they look like giant cleavers. I did not like the look of them but they do evolve with you. Since I use Sunnie's mods I already have access to several evolving items so its not a big deal for me.
In terms of armors, the starter armor in the pack (Rascal something) looks absolutely hideous. The second one (Black Fox armor) looks great and has good stats, and generally makes up for the nastiness of the Rascal Armor.

The daggers seem very "Bill the Butcher" to me (anyone seen Gangs of New York? Anyone?!?!?!??!?!?!?). Not that that's how I'd roll, but it's...there.
That being said, I could see some hilarity occur if you stack +Nature% damage and run the Low Blade + Beraht's Revenge.
