I just thought of a moment that did get me teary eyed in my Canon Warden playthrough...

Fem Cousland meeting Lady Landra's elf servant's daughter in the Alienage. I so wanted to help the poor kid but couldn't even talk to her.:(

I got kinda teary-eyed when meeting Ruck in the Deep Roads. He was taintd by the Blight, and his mother hasn't seen him for such a long time. I just wanted to return Ruck to his mother, where he'd be safe and sound. If only my Warden had gone there much earlier...

This too. I hate the DR but that moment was very poignant. And Ruck telling my Warden that he can see the darkness in her gave me shivers.:(

Also, Danyla. Why did we HAVE to encounter her before Zathrian gets the chance to cure the werewolves. We could've saved her!

I have cried during movies, games, and the occassional Hallmark commercial (that I blame on hormones), and DA:O and DA:2 were no exception.

But what makes DA:2 so unique for me was that I felt an emotion I have NEVER felt in playing a game before - righteous rage. And the game did it to me twice : 1) the throne room with the Arishok, that moment with the Viscount on the stairs; and 2) experiencing what happened to the Chantry at the very end of the game.

I'm an not a person who uses foul language, but I turned the air completely blue for #2. I could not discuss what made me so mad with The Husband, as he had stepped away from the game for a few weeks for his own reasons, and I didn't want to spoil the game for him.

So I was angry, frustrated, and had no outlet except sex. Lots of sex. Made the Husband happy, and took the edge off a bit. I fully recommend this solution.

Good plan! I reccomend this solution to nearly any problem. I even reccomend making up problems just for this solution.

I wonder how many husbands ultimately end up thanking Anders or Alistair for angering their wives?Posted Image

Oddly enough Grave of the Fireflies made my eyes water, though no tears came out in retrospect no tears have flowed from me for at least 15-20 years but that doesnt include watering of the eyes or having emotional impacts. Imho DA2 writing never built up enough towards any emotional impact to me and none of the parts that were supposed to be sad was done adequately enough to follow up and push that aforementioned situations. Even with the 'all that remains' quest it never had an impact because while they had you around the person for long enough the interactions were limited and the after effect of the quest was done in such short time with no prolonged deeping of the realisation or flashback of what lost. It just ended up frustrating and annoying that in all the time (x) person was seeing/dating (y) person Hawke was never given the common sense approach of checking out (y) or going into depth and interaction probing (x) for details about (y)... For years... It just wouldn't happen like that for me in real life and shows a lack of interest and caring from Hawke to begin with imho so I consider it bad writing personally.

Probably the same number that ultimately thanked Kaidan after the Horizon scene in ME2.Posted Image

*sighs happily, then lights up a cigarette*

Yep. Good times. Good times. Thank you Kaidan!

*Inhales deeply then starts choking as he remembers he doesn't actually smoke*

The wife had a few 'issues' to work out after Alistair didn't kiss her in Awakening. There was swooping. Oh so much angry swooping.

So all swooping is in fact, NOT bad. Interesting...

There is ONE thing you can do. Ignore Danyla. The epilogue (Unless it bugs out) mentions that her hubby goes looking for her after the curse ended. (You still have to tell him you couldn't find her after dealing with Zathrian)

Well if your a door-mouse and the 'swooping' is a bird of prey or owl in nature... Is not all good either. Posted Image

It was nice to see Daanyla again; think she had been made into Torn Trousers # 13.... *ducks; kidding! kidding*

The whole Aveline Romance thing probably invoked the strongest response from me internally. I was actually agitated and moved away for a while to compose my feelings. As I may have posted elsewhere, I both loathed and admired the writers for grtting this right in as far as realism is concerned. And hope I never see it again!

I agree. Er, my hub and I both wholeheartedly agree. We have 'solutions' to everything, and it's usually solved from every angle twice a day at least.:P

Or if you're a fellow named Hawke while roaming the streets of Kirkwall at nighttime.

My pleasure. Don't forget to use Ejoslin's Epilogue fixes. (Part of her Zevran Dialogue Patch) to make sure it triggers as it should. :)

One thing I did learn, Hawke isn't really that good in bed, I have yet to see any of the staff at the Blooming Rose offer their services for free as a sign of gratitude of just how good he/she is. Infact they all say such things as to imply he keeps going back to them because 'they' are the ones good at what they do.

Hawke should of been renamed "Batman" as I seemed to spend most of my time clearing the streets at night of wrongdoers. While at it give him a mask and cape. :)

I've done this on every playthrough. Even to the point of replaying that segment my first playthrough because her death felt so stupid to me. I swear for a long lived species the Dalish seemed determined to die stupid and/or melodramatic deaths that could be avoided if they showed a little patience.

I think calling the humans 'shem' is intended to be ironic.Posted Image

Indeed. I half-expected the Hawke-signal to flash (a jar of Nutella).
