Cried in either game? No.

Emotional with DA:O's story/characters? Yes.

Emotional with DA2's story/characters? No.

I think Morrigan and Allistar might be some of my favorite Bioware characters. The rest weren't shabby either, except Oghren. I hated him.

If you didn't get teary eyed during act 2 you have no soul.

The end of Act 3 wasn't nearly as strong as that though.

I was pretty pissed that no matter what I did or tried I couldn't change a thing. Not. One. Thing. And if there's one thing I seriously hate, it's being a spectator.

edit :deuce985, you serious? You hate Ohgren? Dearie dearie me...

Its the one time that I was actually glad to finish a game, after I got over the shock of that memorable ending. During the first play through it was a lot of frustration and anger, the anger part being I paid how much for this? I was genuinely sad to end Origins, but I felt good and I still have it loaded on my system.

Towards end of ACT 2 was so awesome. It is a shame they didn't flesh that part of the game out more. Was over too quickly.

DA2 isn't emotional enough to shet tears. The only scene that would have potential is the dead of mother but the presentation lacks the dramatic effect.

Well when my mother died in my arms in real life I had the same feeling. Some things you just don't get control over. Its how you react to those moments that matters.

It was a horrible surprise to find out I had that stupid drunken dwarf as one of my companions in Awakening.

I never took him with me, because I abhore him.

The re-used music on all the death scenes was quite a bummer, too.

There was no moment in DA:O that had me even close to tears. DA 2's All that Remains struck a nerve. This quest bought me close to tears. I assume that a lot of people may have thought I will get a chance to save my mom. But the deed was already done and you could only say goodbye. Sometimes no matter how big and bad you are you cannot change fate.

The last thing I shed tears at was the futurama episode where Fry's dog waits for him in the same spot forever.
DA:O did give me some emotions and made me feel and think when finding out what had come or was to come.
DA:2 did this as well... but not the ending, that prevoked disbelief even for me.

Yeah, that quest struck me too. It is the only quest that truly struck me.

But I already had the feeling that it was a one-way ticket to Death for Hawke's mother, so it wasn't much of a surprise.

Yes, I did. But I won't explain why, because I don't want to pull other people's emotions into a fire. So to speak.

Whacka, you made me laugh. I read that as "because I *adore* him." It's excusable...., well, a little. I just walked in the door, and I have the weekend off. I think I need a beer.

I cried during two playthroughs. (Out of six)

The moments where I cried where during the ending of "All that remains" and Act III, Anders romance related.... "I loved you once but I cannot let you do this!" and "I am glad it's you. It was...good to be happy for a while." Tore my heart to shreds.

Many other moments moved me deeply but I did not cry. I rarely ever cry during games. Everybody seems to have cried at the Warden Commander ending in DAO. I did not. (I got it because of a bloody bug and was angry about it)

The ONLY moments where I was close to tears in DAO were "Anora, hush. It's over. Daughters never grow up, Anora. They remain six years old with pigtails and skinned knees...forever." And "Please...I have done so much wrong. Allow me to do one last thing right."

Never had any kind of sad emotional moments in DA2, I failed to connect with any of the characters (well, varric, but he is great)

It was more sad when duncan and king cailen died.

Varric rules. He and Loghain (Yes, HIM!) are my fave DA characters of all time.

Duncan's death made me sad. Cailan? Not so much. (Never liked him and after RTO I downright despise him)

I didn't feel really connected with those two, so I wasn't really "sad". I was sad, but not... sad.

Even though I ain't a fan of Cailan, I do have the feeling that he shouldn't die like that. Though I usually let the darkspawn have their fun with him...

If I said that, I would be contradicting myself.

Anyway, while you're at it, can you fetch me a beer too? :D

You didn't like his naked corpse nailed to some wood? ;)

In the words of Soundgarden; "Arms out wide, in my jesus christ pose"

Duncan's final moments while staring at the Tower of Ishal, knowing that no one is coming for help, made me more emotional than the entirety of DA2.

The music in origins is what truly makes it so great. I'm replaying Origins now, and it's just so emotional when Duncan dies.

Do tell.

Persephone, those were some good times. Remember the 50 + page threads about Loghain? I remember defending him, only to be pounced on immediately. Until the cavalry arrived. Yay.

I liked the companions. My biggest beef is that there was simply not enough interaction, and what there was of it, it was weird. I want a mod where I can slap Fenris around. 3 years? Pffft!!!

I did fail to connect to any of the family except for Bethany, I'm sad to say. And oddly enough, Charade. I don't know why. Weird stuff happens, I guess.

I got a little misty at the end of All That Remains and when sending the sibling off to the Grey Wardens. Nothing like the wreck I was that one time I decided to do an Alistair sacrifice ending, or when Tamlen came back.

Dear me, yes. I actually kept hoping he made it - somehow. That whole scene choked me up, even though I thought Cailan was a fool (So did my Warden, btw., and she wasn't shy about saying it either).

Return to Ostagar seeing what they did to Cailan had some emotion to it for me, especially Cailan (I certainly felt sorry for him) because he always struck me he had the innocence of a child and excitment of fighting alongside a group of people (Grey Wardens) he has grown up adoring with childlike enthusiasm ~I could imagine him playing with Warden action figures growing up lol. Only for Loghain to betray him, no matter whether you think Loghain did the right thing or not it was still a betrayal. For that betrayal I stripped naked and embarresed him by beating him down with no clothes on (female Warden that time around) using only her fists and slaps to make him feel less than a man even using his big sword and full armour still getting beat. Then cut off his head with no regrets.
