From The Court Jester:
Hawkins: I've got it! I've got it! The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! Right?
Griselda: Right. But there's been a change: they broke the chalice from the palace!
Hawkins: They *broke* the chalice from the palace?
Griselda: And replaced it with a flagon.
Hawkins: A flagon...?
Griselda: With the figure of a dragon.
Hawkins: Flagon with a dragon.
Griselda: Right.
Hawkins: But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?
Griselda: No! The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!
Hawkins: The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.
Griselda: Just remember that.
Griselda: [Correcting Hawkins' recitation of the directions about the drinks] No! The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle...
Jean: ...the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true. Even I can say it!
Hawkins: Then YOU fight him!
Gotta love Danny Kaye! Thanks for sharing!

Muahuahua.... Found an old training video of Jack's first attempts at swashbuckling... Your secret is out -- being dashing is a snap! (And involves a witch, two dwarves, and a catapult.) Long live the Black Fox!
I suspect that this may also be the first modern Flemeth sighting.

I agree.
I like the game. Its decent. Certainly not a bad game.
And nowhere near the worst game I have ever played, that dubious honour goes to Spore (really wish I hadnt bought that).
I acknowledge that this game has some major flaws that can really really grate on you, and I do admit I sometimes find myself thinking "I hate this game" because of these flaws. When that happens I simply remind myself that it could be worse, it could be a Bethesda game (Fallout 3 had the worst MQ storyline and dialogue of any game since "All Your Base Are Belong To Us!").
Remembering that helps me to look at the game fairly instead of in terms of "this is a bioware game! i shouldnt just like it! i should LOVE IT!"
Thats the problem with most of the community I think.
They are that used to instantly loving Bioware games from day one release, that when the get a game they dont immediately fall in love with they automatically go off on a fanboy rage and decide since they dont love it they MUST HATE IT!!11!!!1!11

My secret is out!
Well since it is, here's an even earlier training video. When I was a wee lad. I eventually had to change instructors when they realized I wasn't actually Mormon. Talk about embarassing.
(And I love Danny Kaye. I'm guessing someone at Bioware does too, based on all the Black Fox references...)

Is it better then ME1 or2...NO...Is it better then DA.....No....Is it better then Witcher.....NO.....Is it better then Neverwinter Nights 1,2,3.........No. But I am playin it for the 3rd time and still find the story interesting and continue to find or confront things I have not in the other game. Not the greatest, but enjoyable. Just an opinion.

It's better than NWN1+2 (There is no 3) IMO. I wouldn't compare it to ME1&2, that's a different...genre altogether.
But I agree. I love the game myself. The writing and the characters especially. It made me want MORE. (While DAO made me feel fulfilled. Just as good!) It gripped me, it moved me, it went straight to my heart in many ways. (IMO quests like "Dissent" and "All that remains" and the quests leading up to "All that remains" are some of the best I have ever seen in any RPG. And meeting Fenris' sister was way more dramatic and intense than having Goldanna nag at you, hehehe)

Oh my gosh, yes! Fenris's sister was a really cool meet up as opposed to "Gold Digging ****" as I like to call her....where was my murder knife for her?

While I understand Goldanna's confusion and frustration.......when she said "You killed mother, you did!" I wanted to wring her neck. I wouldn't murder knife her for ONE reason....her five kids. But argh, I HATE her.

I really do love you guys (Cutlass Jack, Persephone, Allilover, Auto, Chicken...you all know who you are). And for those I haven't met, I hope you can have a place that does allow you to be free to say, "I LOVED IT And here's why."
*HUGS* from me.

And I wanted to apologize. I am not trying to be a den mother, or a nagging ****. I am not trying to police anyone either. If I have come off that way, again, I apologize (humbly, profusely, and sincerely). I was only hoping to have one thread in the forum that is for those that love the game and like the game or even elements of it (even if they hated it) to put here.
I especially hoped to keep it as a positive place for my fellow fans that have complained that there are plenty of threads with valid, and not so valid complaints (or whining and ****ing, LOL:pinched:), but there are hardly any that are positive and stay that way.
I looked around, and they are right. I may not have loved the game, nor did I hate it, but there aren't really any places for those wonderful people who did love it to go. I was hoping "I Liked the Game" could be such a place. No passive aggressive I liked it but, no name calling.
I just wanted it so badly, because I think BioWare has some of the best fans (and I surely hope they know it). I have enjoyed the company of the people on this forum and I delight in your company (especially when we don't agree).

I second that.
If I could give mod powers to you for this thread alone to remove the negativity from posting, I would.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and shouldn't be accused of having blinders on for not hating it to the extreme as some. It's ok to hate the game, too. But we all can see that every thread has voiced the same flaws and annoyances by both sides so why not just agree to disagree and not be a wet blanket and shoot them down for it.
Lovers of DA2 needs a place here as well without fear of being bashed for it.
Why don't we all show a little integrity and just be civil and let everyone have their voice. After all we are all members here.

Ah another person on my list of love to hang out with! *HUGS fight* And thanks. I do just want a thread for good stuff.
@Chicken, yes you are loved. And I second that. I went for Anders my first playthrough, with my rogue. And that kiss was hot. But I found I actually liked Fenris more. My second playthrough, I went for him as my LI, and his quests were really a lot deeper and richer. It made him a more complex person. It helped my enjoyment more. The characters were much more fleshed out by Act 2.

This thread should be re-titled to "DA2-olics Anonymous: I Liked the Game". Then it can be a place for people like me to blurt out our shameful confessions (then bravely run away and hide before the virtual eggs are thrown)
I enjoyed DA2's story.
I really liked Hawke as a protaganist (for extra sacrilege points: I actually felt more connection to her than my warden)
I liked the companions in DA2 more than in DAO.
And the ultimate sinful confession: I prefered DA2's (admittedly far too abrupt) cliffhanger ending to the epilogue slides in DAO. I'm looking forward to playing what happens next!
Disclaimer: am not bashing DAO... I loved DAO. I just loved DA2 a teeny tiny bit more...
Now, run awaaaaaaay....*rogue backflip and stealth into thin air*
