You are conveniently ignoring the fact that they have been establishing empires a lot longer and have massively larger populations. Even taking into account losses from the Rachni wars and Krogan rebellions, the other races had 3000 years to re-grow and expand.

And while they use the relays, they don't seem to actually control them or even monitor traffic through them (or else they would simply have control over the Omega relay, bypassing any IFF needs). Also it would have made the Rachni wars a lot easier, since they could have hobbled Rachni travel rates.

Good advice for us all but unfortunatly not advice that is followed on the internet, and I suspect most of us are guilty of not following this advice at one time or another.  Basicaly people like to go renegade online.

ExtremeOne doesn't follow this advice either.

He is very quick to call anybody who disagrees with him an "idiot" and an "Alliance ass-kisser".

He also has nothing nice to say to the writers of Mass Effect.
