I must say that this is one of the more mature forums on the web. I think it has to do with subject material of Mass Effect. People that are into science tend to be on average more emotionally stable and less prone to divisive arguments about people of differing ideas(most of the time cooler heads prevail).  A video game forum is only as good as its community. I find Mass Effect's forum to be one of the best and most mature on the web.

I find Irish people tend to understand black issues in America better than most whites do. Do we know what tribes all these different races of whites come from? As we continue to map the human genome what are we discovering about the family tree?

Also did anyone see the video where a African couple in Europe gave birth to a caucasian child? Technically he is still an African. Or is he an European, when he does a census does check the box for black?  

I have also found troubling videos where Albino children are abandoned in Africa and worst killed. This is troubling because it seems it may be in our biological programming to be born inherently color intolerant. I would say racist but those albinos are still African. Is there a history of whites killing albino children ever in their history?

Mass Effect does a find job of highlighting some of the social ills that exist in our modern society. Like all good works of art it is a reflection of the world in which we live, a commentary if you will, because after all we are the collective authors of reality. Can a work of fiction help shape beliefs and attitudes of the future? What differs between Mass Effect and Star Trek when it comes to race?

I decided to post this in the off topic due to the fact that it isn't completely about Mass Effect. But I do love talking with this community.

I love you my sisters and brothers all 7 billion of you. It is hard to believe just a few years ago people would kill people of different races for recreation.
