The Normandy is destroyed and Commander Shepard, the hero of the battle of the Citadel is assumed to be 'killed in action'. The devastating news is soon forgotten as you are swept up in the events that follow. Engage in battle against yet unknown forces or simply try to do your best to stay alive through it all, it's up to you now. Recruit a team to stand by your side as you explore the galaxy and unravel the mysteries that lie ahead.
Mass Effect Chronicles is a free fan-made RPG that is completely compatible with the canon of the Mass Effect universe, and features the events that took place between Mass Effect 1 and 2 from the eyes of a turian, a salarian and an asari.

Mass Effect Chronicles features a compelling story with artistic cutscenes and 3 playable characters with several recruitable squadmates.You can interact with several characters from different spieces, with the help of a morality system as well as a love interest system.The 100% new artwork and game art gives the spotlight to locations from ME1, ME2 as well as some unique to MEC.Feel free to explore the deep corners of the Milky Way, with planetary exploration, an upgradable ship as well as an interesting and unique mining system.

Here's what I think so far.

From an audio/visual standpoint, it looks great - the menu interface is slick and easy to use. The music nails it in terms of getting it so close to the source material. The combat works well for what it is - ME:C is a reminder that the squad-based power-using shooter mechanic isn't the only thing that makes Mass Effect special.

My complaints mostly resound regarding the writing. There are certain lines that feel out of place in the mythology built up. It's still great, but may need to be refined a bit. Some of the writing could use some proofreading. It wouldn't be as big of a problem if the game involved voice acting - If you're staring at text for long periods of time, it gets noticed

Overall I think it's definitely on the right track from what I've played so far. A lot of that's just fine tuning.

Thanks for the feedback! Imo, the writing picks up past the intro project.

Actually, the code was just for some extra in-game stuff. People who signed up for the alpha a while ago got it.

The download link is there, it just broke, fixed now.

Oh my! The dialogue between Guss and Gloria was hilarious, and I'm afraid I accidentally punched the poor guy, getting +5 renegade. Brilliant!

Would it be asking to much to hope that Shepard's gender would also be set in an interview with Al-Jilani?

Been playing for about 30 minutes. Definitely fun, and ya'll did a good job making it feel like Mass Effect.

One bug that i noticed is akin to the infinite morality glitch ala Samara or Lorik Qu'inn. When you defeat the death's hand mercenaries (or something like that), you can break his hands indefinitely and get +5 renegade each time.

Good job though.

Seriously, tell the team they did a good job. I didn't get the Renegade bug but basically everything else Alpha said.

So far it's good, there's been a lot of effort, but I would just like to say that the game takes a while to get going. It needs to draw you in more. (That said, the first cutscene was really good)

I'll post C&C ion the MEC forums when I'm done like I said I would, but one more thing-I loved Khalisha whats her name Al Jiana's cameo.

I am on my phones browser, so I can't answer your questios in depth. We haven't tested this on macs yet, so we don't know if it works. Gender would be easy to add, I'll talk to the writers.
