Just a couple of minor gripes though; I often had a hard time telling what was wall and what was not. And it may just be my computer, but the framerate went down a bit when I entered the combat training corridor.

Are you referring to Atoa's battle system?
I've seen it, and I definitely think it looks neat, but I think the default has some of it's own advantages.
Using RMXP has been great so far... while it has it's limitations, it still does everything I need it to. One thing I recommend in regards to making your own game is : Get a team. Working alone CAN work, but having a team will help in so many different ways. (This game wouldn't exist without the team.)

Way ahead of ya there bro, Im shooting for professional. Going to college next month so I can get a degree in "Game Art and Design", then University a little later for my buisness degree. I already can code a little in C# (as in basic character movment, camera movement and, HUD's) and I play around in Unity3D (free 3d engine, check it out) + Studio 3DX max quite a bit. Done some fps in 3D and done my share of RPG maker games (I started back when 2003 was out) back in the day.
But yeah, I agree with you one-hundred percent. Teamwork is essentail, especially with the project you guys are working on, seriously I hope you guys get some more good talent. I can't wait to see the finished product, and I wish you all the best of luck from one Game Devopler to another.
PS. Remember the golden rule, "You as the game designer are not an artist, but an enertainer."

sometimes I just wanted to urge you to take the renegade option, or talk to someone again because they have more to say
though I do wonder if I even needed the non-punch dialog of al-Jilani, perhaps filler dialog would have sufficed, no one's not punching her
