Hi,

I'm looking for a couple of people to test out my normal noses mod.  I've made a mod that gives (hopefully) all of the elves in DA2 a human looking nose instead of the unique elven nose Bioware went with.  Allthough it seems to work fine on my machine and in my game I'd like some confirmation from others that it's problem free before I release it.

Let me know here if you're willing to help.

I'm willing. It definitely sounds like an improvement. I'd be happy to test since I'm about to start a new game.

I'd be willing to help. I'm poised to do the Long Way Home quest in my new game, so I'll be see a number of elves soon.

Also willing to test this out for you. I just can't get used to this new elven design at all.

Hiya,

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help. I've just got to get my girls to ballet and I'll get the link set up.

Ok, sorry for the delay but I'm back from family stuff now. Here's the link to the project page I've just set up to host the files.

http://social.biowar...t/4677/#details

There are two erf's in the folder. One is the elven 'normal noses' mod which does the 100+ NPC elves (I hope) and the other folder contains some head morphs for various NPC's. Feel free to use either as you wish. I've put up a couple of screenshots to give you an indication of some of the characters.

Please let me know of any problems you have with the package. This will not work with any other mod that changes the headmorphs (faces) of elven NPCs and companions. The readme explains how to install.

I hope it's ok, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

PS - All the pictures in the gallery actually have heads - promise - you just need to click on the image......I am just awesome at screenshots.  Posted Image

That's wierd. I'm seeing them and I definitely uploaded them. You have to be logged in? Sometimes the network signs me out when I change pages?

The file should be sitting right here

Oh my, I love this! So far I have not run into any issues, and it somewhat fixes a huge part of the new elves that I really hated. Now if we can just get the stupid way-too-long-na'vi ears fixed I would be somewhat happy with the elves in DA2!

Just echoing Sunnie; this is a very nice improvement indeed.

This mod is a huge improvement to the strange bridge depth the elves had. I love it.

Thanks guys for the comments.  This is the first mod I've ever made and I really wanted it to be well received.  Posted Image

And Sunnie - I love your stuff and so I'm really happy that you're enjoying my mod. Posted Image

So my concerns are pretty much that  Dalish characters would be missing their tattoos or a non dalish character would be given random Dalishness (you've only got a long list of file names to go on and it's a bit hit and miss to guess/remember which elf was Dalish.)

Also I guess just any elf that looks odd or ugly (except for Zevran....I did my best....there is practically no way of de-uglying that poor guy  Posted Image).  I spent quite a bit of time chasing elves through Kirkwell to get a look at their faces but there's no way I've seen every character in game and they change so much from the CC to the game.  Also full disclosure - I got a little bored about 3/4 of the way through and put some facial hair on a couple of the boys......I support bearding (well in this case stubble-ing) for all in DA2.

Anyway I'm relieved that I'm not seeing anyone writing in that my elves have broken their game.....yet

I'm also thinking of having another go at Merril - I went with the no makeup version and I've never really been that happy with her.

This is the first time I've played a Hawke not quite so intent on committing mass genocide (even if the story/gameplay doesn't allow for that).

So far I've also had no problems with the mod, so I don't expect there will be any later on in the game.

Wasn't so sure about the fuzz on Jethann's face, but it's fun, and a bit of lore-breaking can easily be overlooked if it means having more normal looking elves Posted Image

Thank you so much, Sister Goldring Posted Image
