Can Bioware provide any tidbit info about ME3 squad AI?

Just read that thread about PCGamer news on ME3. Not sure how true it is since I haven't read the PCGamer mag. But playing along, some of the info does sound interesting if true. Specifically for me, that portion about melee combat, how each class has different melee attacks with different effects. Now I presume this applies to Shep only, but what i'm really interested in is improvements for squad AI. Especially :-

1) Will squad have their own melee options and the necessary AI to apply them when needed? Because ME2 squad ( apart from Grunt who's the only one with a melee attack ) have a nasty habit of being helpless when swarmed by melee enemies like husks etc. Which really doesn't make sense for seasoned fighters like them. So will, for example ( and this applies to all of them but i'll just name a couple ), people like Jack, Thane, Samara et al get their individual melee attacks respective to their class/power and background? Because that'll be bloody awesome if Bioware includes that.

2) Will squad AI still freeze when positioned into place but blasted by heavy fire, etc. where they just continue standing there unless repositioned or rallied? Because that was annoying in ME2 where you have to keep constant eye on them if you wish to play tactical positioning.

3) Will squad AI still see/detect enemies through walls ( beyond line of sight ) and start reacting even if you don't want them to and before you have a chance to have a quick survey of the battlefield?

4) Squad sometimes stop leaning out of cover and just crouch there shooting into the cover.

5) Any chance of incorporating something similar to tactics assignment like DAO for greater control over squad for those who want it? Fat chance i know...

6) Perhaps give us any tidbit about AI improvements that i've failed to mention?

Since this has nothing to do with plot/story spoilers i'm thinking perhaps Bioware can answer some if not all of these questions. If not, oh well, looking forward to ME3 anyway.

Cheers, keep up the great work.

Beyond the generic, "We will continue to improve the AI and make battles flow better," I doubt Bioware will say much about the topic YET. However, around E3 and afterwards, they most likely will at some point.

Well, was kinda hoping they would. Because ME2 AI was a significant improvement from ME1. I'm hoping ME3 will be at least equally or much more improved from ME2 as ME2 was to ME1. Those AI really need seeing to since it seems there's a greater emphasis on enemy melee attacks so it'll be pretty bad if your guys can't defend against rushing melee enemies.

Strange, thread didn't post my reply. I'll try again...

Was kinda hoping BW will answer. I really hope they see to the AI since there's more melee enemies in ME3, so your guys better be able to react to close attacks. Maybe an upgrade path for melee attacks for your guys and Shep on the RPG side too. And since they've said combat maybe faster in ME3 and more hectic in some situations you won't be able to micromanage your guys as effciently in tight combat so there'll be heavier reliance on efficient AI.
