No thanks. I'm still upset enough Kotor 3 got cancelled and replaced with an MMO, I really don't want the next ME title after ME3 to be an MMO.

i dunno....a ME mmo would most likely be for PC and perhaps PS3...that would leave us on the 360 in the breeze. I dont see it happening.

if it follows the same basic gameplay as ME2 and 3, why wouldnt it be on the 360 also?

personally, i'm all for a ME MMO, or at least something like diablo or borderlands. have say 8 or more ppl in the game and they could team up or just go off on their own if they wanted.

It's a little late for that, I think. They're stuck with Kotor and LucasArts royalties.

Maybe in 5 or 10 years they can do a MEMMO.

I think Facebook related Mass Effect game will have a higher profit ratio.

it might not take that long. it seems like when a game is being finalized, the studio that made it already has a good start on the next game. i think it would be possible to do this with the ME3 team if they expanded the team for the needs of an MMO. of course this is all just wishful thinking on my part :P

Yes but the idea is that they would wait that long because they don't want to make a second MMO that would compete against their first MMO. Bad for business.

Instead of an MMO a Star Wars Battlefront/Left4Dead campaign type of online Rpg/fps game would be good.

You can make a character, customize, upgrade a bit, upgrade your rank and renown etc.

You play with other people, do missions, battles (let us live the battles and conflict of the Mass Effect universe) and let us feel like generals and commanders

Let us make choices before battles (who will have what role, formulate plans and strategies, who will sacrifice themselves if need be, who will stand at the front and take most of the enemy fire, who will snipe people who come from the sides etc.)

That would be pretty awesome and I think it would be a good way of expanding the warfare and battles in Mass Effect. I think there should also be a system where those who are good at the game and have good tactics get rewarded and can be recognized by other players for their awesomeness/eliteness.

EDIT: Perhaps they could still turn this idea into an MMO, maybe they could add a subscription fee and make the game even bigger, let you have your own ship, space apartment, go into galactic arenas and compete with others (like that arena in ME but possibly with the opportunity to verse other players) let people play Skyllian five with each other, make your own mercenary groups etc.)

MMO? No thank you. Now, an ME Massively Offline Singleplayer RPG? Heck yes. Give me a big, open world and let me pay a monthly fee for regular new content. All offline, all singleplayer.

I think the main reason that people ask for a Mass Effect MMO isn't necessarily because they so want to play a ME MMO, but rather because they want to have a steady and long-term stream of content with which to enjoy the ME universe. ME very quickly became one of my favourite IPs, but sometimes I just wish there was more to do in the games. Don't get me wrong, ME and ME2 are two my favourite games that I've poured tons of hours into, but I'd still like to play more.

I'd like to play a game starring Garrus, that shows what he did with his team during the two years between Shepard's death and resurrection. I'd like to play as part of a Salarian STG team in an L.A. Noire style investigative shooter. There's all kinds of stories Bioware could tell in the ME universe, but they don't necessarily have to be told in an MMO. I enjoy MMOs - was a rabid WoW fan for years, currently salivating at the approach of SW:TOR, but I don't think that ME should go in that direction just yet. By putting your IP into the mold of an MMO you preclude the possibility of further story development outside of the MMO (I doubt we're going to see another WarCraft RTS any time soon), which would be a shame in ME's case.

I'd prefer another ME trilogy, set a few years after ME3, with a new protagonist to an MMO. Just my opinion.

100% correct!

I tried WoW.  Their lead developer, a dude who goes by 'Ghostcrawler' is a freaking moron.  He does not listen to the players, and has a condescending attitude towards them.  Basically, he ruined the game.

I love Mass effect for how  it is and how it plays.  If it were or went MMO, I believe that is would destroy the game.

For the sake of EA CEO and other top management sanity I hope they did not envisioned TOR as a WoW killer, because this would certainly be their doom. I hope TOR is not just a futuristic version of WoW MMO.

Well since they are making a star wars MMO right now it's not that smart, but in a few years and if the mass effect movies are a huge success it could really work.
But having two MMO's in one company seems like way to much work to handle.

well then it isn't the genre that's lame it's "Ghostcrawler" and you are correct about the fact that WOW suck's at player feedback

But I think MMO's really have huge potential, and some of them are good but they are all crushed financially by. WOW and don’t have a time to develop properly.
There is nothing wrong with the genre but it’s definitely plenty of stuff wrong with WOW

I am personally very hesitant to pay for an MMO. I bought the lotro game itself and played that for a while but I think that singleplayer game at a certain length is all my attention span can cope with.

I do return to old games quite often though but in an MMO I'll just get hopelessly behind for the difficulty levels of new content. Atleast thats how it worked in lotro.

Isn't EVE online profitable? Not as much as WoW offcourse but still an ok business. Theyve been going for quite a few years.

MMO's are not my cup of tea and I much prefer what BioWare did with Neverwinter Nights, which could be used as a SP game, Co-op game, or could be used as a small-scale version of an MMO. The important fact here is that NWN was designed from the ground up to support such multi-player use.

I would much prefer to see ME take that route over an MMO.

I don't know, I kinda' like the idea of a Mass Effect MMO, as long as it kept the current type of gameplay. That would really help it differentiate itself from WoW and other WoW clones. It would even differentiate it from their current Star Wars MMO.

The only thing that makes me hesitate is knowing that they wouldn't make any more single-player Mass Effect content, at least not for a while, and that would be a shame.

Really, as long as we get more Mass Effect I think I'll be happy.

Not interested in a MMO... Really.
