I dont have the game yet but I heard there's something like an approval rating for your companions? Meaning do you need to pick out the right responses?
Yes there is, much like the one in DA:O (except this one goes up to 10K, I think).
I don't know yet if a companion will leave you if it gets too low, but that could be the case. However, most times you get a negative rating from your companions it's only -1, whereas as soon as they approve of something you get at least +30 or something, meaning it will take a lot to have them turn on you (if that is even possible). My LS Sith hasn't had that problem yet.

Haha, well thanks guys. As a person who constantly used approval guide from Dragon Age wiki, I just thought that there may be there will be one for SW in the future.
Thing is, responses may also affect LS/DS pts. You get to choose which response delivers the best outcome for you whether it be mechanics, RP, whatever. Just remember to Escape quickly for some surprises as there is no Save, and choices do have some consequences some short and/or long term.

I think it would be a good/great feature that after a conversion there would be an option to redo the talking, because we never know when a conversation ends so pressing esc maybe too late. And it could be turned on/off so it wouldn't be bothering for those who don't want to use it.

As far as re-starting conversations goes, as mentioned you can press escape at any point before they're completed and do them again from the start. You can also reset quests and repeat them if you really want to, provided you haven't fully completed them. It's about as close to being able to quick save as we're going to get.

The Old Republic
I have never been more excited for a game or ever waited for a game this long. What Bioware is doing with Old Republic can possibly change MMo's in general. Questing, crafting, exploration...
Ummm... None of that seems even remotely revolutionary. It sounds rather formulaic, actually. Ultima online had all those elements, too.

I'm also a little annoyed that they've made Revan and the Exile out to be insignificant...I mean I didn't like when people kept saying 'Revan is the greatest character in all of Star Wars, and he could beat Yoda, Luke, Sidious, Mace Windu and Anakin/Vader with ease' but the direction they have taken them now is more irritating.
I play on Ajunta Pall as a trooper
Well the fact that the player classes are going to be made out to seem much more powerful won't help either.

Wanted to ask about aborting the dialogs: i only tried it before i chose an option, will it even work if for example i kill somebody, then press esc, and then i can talk to him/her again?

During a cutscene? Yes. Also, you can redo any sidequest from scratch before turning it in; after you turn it in you won't be able to repeat it unless it's daily.
For class quests it's a bit trickier; you won't be able to redo the very first conversation at the beginning of each mission (after the first one) when leaving your private instanced area. Afaik it will turn red and you won't be able to talk with your main mission giver even if you reset the quest. Everything after that can be redone by resetting class quests though, before turning them in.

I thought Revan was alright in the game, I didn't think he was that great of a character to begin with, he was mute and he lacked so many things. I almost lost the will to play, when I was told that my character was Revan. In the game fight against HK-47 is actually harder than Revan, I thought it was quite funny. Still he gets the end he deserves. Exile was even less interesting than Revan. My Sith Warrior is far more interesting persona.

There's weird spikes like that from time to time, yeah. I ended up getting 164 approval from the squad medic as a Trooper one time just from picking a particular, not-related-to-morality dialog choice. Tends to make grouping with other people for questing a little risky, since I don't believe you get companion approval for picking a conversation option unless you actually win the roll to speak.Melrache wrote...
Some of the DS/LS choices can give quite a bit of approval points. At first I got like 40-60 points with Vette by doing things she approved of, then now that I have my SW's "apprentice" who (due to my choices) is quite bloodthirsty and violent.. I decided to just randomly kill this one guy, who tried to reason with my character and bam! 219 approval points.
Some people are just easier to please than others.

Well I wasn't in a group when I got that, but you can get quite a bit of approval with gifts alone. I haven't done too much questing in groups of two or three, though. I don't usually have companion out while grouping.

He was an avatar... and his background was interesting for roleplay. I hate it when they make characters out of avatars, and canonize player decisions.
Revan is nothing without the player in KotOR, and everything the player does in the game through Revan makes him badass, adds to his legacy, mystery, etc.
Kind of like Gordon Freeman. He has virtually no writing whatsoever except, again, an interesting background. Yet he was voted as the best video game hero ever over at Gamespot, winning over immensely recognizable characters such as Link, Mario, etc...

"Next month we're going to be releasing a new Flashpoint and an expanded Operation. The new Flashpoint involves a plague that could have significant repercussions across the galaxy. It takes place on a brand new world and involves some pretty epic battles. I can’t go into much detail, but be prepared for something different. The expanded Operation takes the existing Karagga’s palace scenario and more than triples it in size. It includes three new boss monsters and some pretty epic set pieces. You won’t believe the last boss, so we’ve provided an image as a tease."

So this is awesome. A sneak peek from James Ohlen. Hopefully new content can come regulary because I'm still worried about how much time voice overs add.

The final boss is Trask Ulgo, confirmed.
The only reason the Sith blew up the Endar Spire... was because they thought Trask Ulgo was still in it.

If you say so, didn't enjoy Half-life games nor did I enjoy any of the BW RPGs with mute playable characters. Doesn't work for me, but I did enjoy having my hand in Revan's final fate. Most of the group were giggling over the thought of masses reaching the point in the game and shedding bunch of angry fanboi tears.

Yes Khem Vaal is easy to please, as long as your being cruel he's happy.
Actually from looking at plenty of Lets play vids it seems Khem val likes it when the player is rather cruel when it comes to Sith or force users in general.

I though people voted for him b/c he looked "cool".
Though it doesn't matter. Polls like those are just popularity contests for most people.
