I've recently bought Both ME games through the EA sale on steam, and both of the games work perfectly fine.
The Bring down the sky DLC is the only thing i'm having a problem with, After downloading the launcher from the ME1 site, the installer gives me this message.

I'm not really sure where to go from here.
Any help would be much appreciated.

When installnig from Steam, it doesnt actually finish the installation until you try to run it.
Run the game, let Steam create the necessary registry entries, then install the DLC.

I've already run mass effect one multiple times to test the resolution and quality settings, so i doubt that would be the issue.

The only other thing I can suggest, is start ME, alt-tab out to your desktop, and try and install it then. If that doesnt work, check the Steam forums for tips, as the BTDS installerworks fine for Disk and EADM versions of the game.

I ran it just fine. No problem. Copied ME1 key, got DLC key, copied that into the dsl installer... and installed.

Could be a particular windows update that you might need. Not the service pack.
