Well I believe I am going to take a small break, maybe a few days, before I do a new Mass Effect 1 file, to transfer into Mass Effect 2. But I do have a question. How heavy of a story change is their based on your actions in Mass Effect 1?

I don't mean from default ME2 start vs imported ME1 file. I mean how much difference is their between story if I were to do two ME1 files, on different paths (huge decisions changed for each playthrough) between eachother.

I ask because I would like to experience a change in story if it's large enough, by doing a new ME1 file. However, if it's just going to turn out to be slightly history // cammeo appearances (i.e kaiden//ash on horizon), then i'd probably settle for just taking my already level 60 ME1 character, and doing an import and just replaying ME2 on a different path.

Very little change, only in atmosphere, people you meet and news broadcasts. No impact on the story or the outcome what so ever.

The story itself doesn't change that much. The import generally determines if you run into old faces and dialog references. If you do all the quests in ME1 your decisions won't have a large impact on the amount of content you see.

Very changes, and the things that are changed are minuscule.

Even though my Shepard discoveres that Cerberus was responsible for Akuzr in ME1 and got asked about it by Cerberus operatives in ME2, he never brought it up.

But we sure did get an email!

Not much in ME2 itself. They say the impact will show up moreso in Mass Effect 3, but we don't know to what extent beyond preview articles at this time, so we'll see.

Also, could someone tell me if the EXACT same thing that happens with Kaiden, also happens with Ash? Just wondering, lol.
