Does anyone have the ability to do a snow drift that would be at about a diagonal angle? Suitable to cover up roof tops on rural house placeables and MOTB style houses that all have sloping roofs? It could even just be the snow pile placeables set at an angle and resaved. I would like to use it in a few modules and it would greatly expand the amount of placeables that could be used in the snow.
VFX are just as acceptable as models but they would have to be in 3d so I guess not so much.

I believe this tool on the vault could help: http://nwvault.ign.c...ols.Detail&id=4
Perhaps not ideal, but it should suffice.

I took the existing snowdrifts, made them taller and sunk them in the building. I also took the snow wagon, and changed the shape and sunk it in the buildings, although this only works with a few.
You can see some of the snowdrifts in the screenshots below:

...and from atop the lighthouse.

Has anyone sucessfully used this tool recently? I have no problem with the command line and it does updated the files, but in game.... there is no rotations on the new placeables I created, whether I use ROTATEX or Y.

Hm, I seem to think Mokah has used it. I've never used it, I'll admit, so I'm not sure if it *really* works or not. Try shooting her a message--I'm like 90% sure she's used it.

I had no trouble using that tool initially, but recently I've noticed that the models are showing up in the game as un-rotated again. Checking the rotated model in a model viewer confirms that it was indeed rotated correctly though.
I'm not sure why it stopped working. I haven't patched the game since then. I first noticed the problem when I was checking out the Dethia shop system - but when I removed the link to the Dethia shop HAK the rotated models in my test module continued to misbehave, so that may have been a coincidence.
EDIT: For some reason, rotated custom placeables are now showing up correctly again. Unfortunately I'm not sure what I did to fix it. The only HAK I was using in my test module was the Dethia Shop system, and that doesn't contain any 2DAs, let alone placeables.2DA. I haven't changed anything in the override folder either. 'Tis a mystery...
