I was wondering if PS3 users are to expect another DA2 patch once the PSN is back up?

I only ask because when I got the patch for ME2 shortly before the PSN went out it did the opposite of what it was meant to do and caused me to have story problems. Now I didnt have problems with DA2 really that was too noticable but I have a feeling once i finally get the patch for DA2 that is up that I will start to feel some problems that people are mentioning because of it.

Psn being down shouldn't stop you getting a patch, as to comes from the games servers not psn.

Over in the planning thread about the next patch, one of the staff said the next patch won't be for a few weeks:

Hey luke... is there a retroactive isabella stat fix in the next update? I'd love to finish the game, but don't have time to play it again start to finish.

yes, but that patch probably wont be for a few weeks

In any case, it's not even out for the other platforms yet so it's not going to be out for the PS3 when the PSN comes back up.

Heh, by the time they finally get everything back up, including the PS Store, it may very well be released. :)

In a realistic way:
1) end of may: psn restored in all functions
2) first two week of june: new ps3 patch

This is my bet, but i never get wrong :)

Sony keeps talking, all I hear is sad trombones. I just hope it's up in time for the first bit of story DLC.

Sadly no, you can still get patches though.

But on a happier note witcher 2 is soon out to keep you occupied for a few weeks so patch 1.02 and 1.03 might be out when you are back in the game :P (PSN is another story though)

You need PSN to get any kind of patch or unlockables since you cant connect to bioware without PSN

Just so you're not completely in the dark: developers are set back by the playstation issues as well. PSN is an integral part of the certification process and as such there may be delays specific to the PS3 that will be out of our control.

This is false.  I recently installed Dead Space 2 and the patch downloaded just fine.

You probably aren't the right person to pose this question to (and if so please tell us who is) but I wonder if EA in general or Bioware in particular have thought about future contingency plans? Is something like Steam a viable option?

i stopped on act II because of the bugs and the import save issues(I didn't got the Fool's Gold quest instead of the Nathaniel for example). I don't want to start a new game until the import issues are fixed. Can we get an ETA for the next patch?
