 Which companion character do you want to have THE MOST in Dragon Age: 3? Varric is a give-in, so I did not include him as an option.

Here's a poll so we can get some numbers.

I'll post what i did in the poll:
If Hawke is still the protagonist: A open slot for your chosen LI to be with you and else, your sibling.

Other than that, new companions ftw!

I just want to see Merrill 10000000000% GONE.. Bethany/Carver and Isabella back. DA3 if hopefully will be last one, then would like non warden characters to settle down.

Isabela would make the most sense even though I despise her. The plot armor is strong with her.

I'd like a new protagonist and all new companions, actually. Maybe have Varrick back.

What I don't want is to learn that Hawke was separated from their romantic partner and went gallivating somewhere with the Warden. DA II treatment of Origins romance resolutions was dissapointing, and I don't want to see a repeat, especially not just for the sake of a fan service cameos. And since everyone except Aveline, Varrick and a sibling (who can die) falls into the category of Hawke's potential beloved, there isn't much room for a 'wished-for' returns for me.

I think Thedas has room enough for new protagonists for the next title.

Why's that?
She's a optional character and has alot of possible endings, i doubt bioware would want to tangle all that up.

Else i would say that Anders could is the least likely.

I'm hoping Isabela returns. Isabela and Varric are probably my favorite companions in DA 2, and while I enjoyed all of the companions, those two would be at the top of my list for who I would like to return in DA 3.

Isabela,Bethany, Morrigan, Sten. Not in that order and I know the DAO characters were not an option but They are the four I would like to see.

True, some of them where she will be angry with Hawke.
I suppose it comes down to how much work the devs want to do in transferring decitions..

I think a crossover of both gameparts will be nice and I really expect it:

Both protagonist - the Warden and Hawke (as NPC or playable depends on the story)
Leliana (Epilog ...)
Merrill (the Story is not over)
Morrigan (the Story is not over)
Flemeth (I am sure about this)

may be others....

Varrc will be really great and Isabella too

Assuming Hawke comes up in some capacity, then whoever you chose to romance (if any), even if that just means they're searching for Hawke after (s)he disappears into this hero trap that got the warden. Otherwise, nobody. Or at least nobody who doesn't have a good reason to be where ever DA3 happens to be, ideally with the reason for their being there seeded somewhere in DA2 (not necessarily directly).

If I had to write the story - it will be about the Mage - Chantry Conflict.
This is like a great "civil war" but with two enemies at the gate: the Qunari and may be another Archdemon ....
There is a deeper secret around Flemeth and Morrigans Words and Child ... may be this all will be important in this great conflict. I am sure Flemeth has something to do with the "old gods" ...and Morrigan spoke about great conflicts in the future ...
I think, the protagonist will come together in the next game.

But I see Anders and Sabastian as both required in any return of the Champions storyline.

Isabela makes the most sense if you ask me. She has more story to tell than anyone else I think. I could see her being DLC fodder though. I think we could see some of the more popular non group members show up such as Cullen and Cassandra and of course a decent chance we'd see DA1 characters as well, morrigan, leliana.

Merrillll! I hope DA3 can start with Hawke, The Warden, Hawke's love interest (Merril woot) and perhaps a new protagonist/main character
