I'm referring to "again" part, which is the only other time Joker talks about the first time Shep dies.  I.e., it'd be funny for Shep, while in the process of dying for the second time, to be yelling at Joker for getting him/her killed the first time.

Now, I get it if you don't like the characters.  I get it if your Shepard doesn't like the characters and you can't roleplay as a complete ass to them.  Totally valid frustration, and I hope that is later corrected (because Liara is totally not my BFF).  However, I think those moments, when Shep and Co. act like legitimate old friends, really shine as some of the most memorable parts of Mass Effect 2.  For one thing, it makes Shepard seem a lot more human, and for another, it adds life to returning characters and gives the player a reason to care about them.

With the galaxy crumbling around them, and with so many confirmed old faces returning (not saying who to avoid ME3 spoilers--look it up yourselves), I really hope we get more moments like this in ME3.  What do you guys think?

Also, more squadmate-to-squadmate banter.  That was seriously lacking in ME2.

Loved it at all.

The most gloriously brotastic moment is when you ask Garrus about your odds of survival.

"We are going to lose people, no way around that.  Not a happy analysis, I know, but don't worry, I won't spread it around.  And I'm with you, regardless."

That's a true friend right there.

Seriously, what a pal.  What a bro.  I wanted to just hug him or shake his hand or something right there.  This guy.  Best friend.  Needed to at least pat him on the back, though.

And then the option to mercilessly invite him to sexing popped up.

I was just like, "CLOSE ENOUGH."

Also, you have to admit he's the best fire team leader.

"Garrus gets shot in the gut*

*Shepard puts a hand on his shoulder to make sure he's okay*

*Garrus nods*

*Shepard pats him on the back*

*they keep walking like nothing happened*

BROTASTIC.  Give me a moment like that between my FemShep and Ashley in ME3 and I will be eternally grateful.  Ash is my soul sista.

No. These are all terrible. Nobody likes these moments and you are utterly, utterly alone.

I'm trying to think of more broments but I can't really figure out your criteria. This is quite a spread.

Basically any time you felt like there was a genuine connection between Shepard and someone else outside of romance.

Or two other people in the game, like the Ken/Gabby or Joker/EDI banter.

A lot of the ones the Admiral mentioned. Especially Wrex's. It seriously felt like bumping into an old buddy from Basic. And weird considering it came from a video game. But Bioware pulled that one off perfectly.

"SHEPARD IS MY BATTLEMASTER! He has no match."

Also on the more emo side...
"My gun is yours."

Encouraging Thane to get out of Life Support and socialize is cool. At the end of the SM he salutes Shepard as if he were a subordinate. That means a lot coming from a solitary alien assassin.

Now I want to know what other members would say about respective romances. It always made me sad that only Mordin and Kasumi seemed to notice my Shep and Thane hitting it off.

Out of all the ME1 squadmates... He is the only one who can, and DOES welcome shep with open arms and enthusiasm. Tali see's you with suspicion, Garrus has been awake for days straight so subdued, Liara went crazy, and VS treats you like crap. The reactions can be justified, and even understandable... but that doesn't make Wrex's welcome any less special. I just wish he had more than two encounters worth of dialogue.

Ah Wrex, you were always da man.

Did not like. I didn't like the forced friendship because my Shepard only saw her as an acquaintance at best

Now don't get me wrong, Garrus' reunion is my second favorite. However its just a spirit lifter to have someone greet you warmly like that. Especially from a krogan.

How many krogan get happy like that when it doesn't involve fighting? (Although you could say that shep's presence always brings explosions... but still)

I was trying to think of a Mordin-relevant scene for this, but can't quite get one, exactly. However, I liked how Mordin slowly became less formal in his conversations over time, so that later on the talks basically just seemed like hanging out bro-style with the guy.

Then, of course, there's the scene where he thinks you're hitting on him. Oh, hell....Mordin's so cool I probably really WAS hitting on him.

Hm, I see no mentioning of Mordin on the brotastic thread, this needs to be rectified. There's a bit of banter about Shepard's LI during the "sex advice" talk and in general Mordin is a total bro. Really hope to see him around in ME3 and yes, we need more outside-of-romance-but-still-connecting-with-the-crew moments. The last game is going to be a bumpy ride, those little moments of connecting with others are going to be needed for Shepard's sanity.
