I seem to have found a repeatable crash, at least with my current game.

To reproduce, I go intimidate the shopkeeper of the Omega Market into lowering prices, and then I buy stimulator conduits. I can walk around just fine afterwards, unless I move towards the lower quarters. E.g., I can go to Harlan's shop without an issue.

If I walk towards the lower quarters, then at the first big arch (lower quarter stairs on the left, VIP area ahead and to the right a bit), my game crashes--sometimes it locks up (music keeps playing), other times windows says it has a problem and has to close it, and choosing to close it does not do so--the screen goes black and the sound continues to play.

I guess I'll just not buy the stimulator conduits . I'll play around some more to see if there is anything else which causes a crash... I neglected to purchase the stimulator conduits with my other character, who is done with Omega... never had a crash with that other character.

I've reproduced this 3 times in a row, crashes at the same spot.


This is the digital download version from Steam.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel Core i7 920 OCed to 4.15 GHz.
6 gigs of RAM
2 Nvidia GTX 460s (the 1GB versions), also overclocked (825/2000)
Power supply: Seasonic X-750--plenty of power for this system

Pretty sure its not the OC causing issues--I have no issues with other games (X3TC, crisis, SC2, TF2, and others)

Played around a bit more, and doing things in a different order got rid of the crash... I intimidated the guy, ran back through the arch--no problem. I then talked to Harlan and shut down the Quarian, ran back through the arch--no problem. Purchased some stuff from Harlan, ran through the arch--no problem.

Purchsed the Stimulator Conduits, ran through arch, no problem now. Went back to ship, no crashes.

Hmm, its happening again on another character... same exact place, but this time after buying from Harlan. Guess I'll do the same song and dance trying to get past here & able to purchase stuff...

I'd suggest a re-install, it might just be a corrupted file.

Edit: I see you're on Steam. See "ME2 crashes in the exact same spot" in the FAQ for instructions on a quick way to check your files with Steam without doing a re-install.
