Thanks for mansplaining that to us.Lapis Lazuli wrote...
To those of you who don't understand: women are feminine by default. Perceived lack thereof can therefore be a turnoff. Hope that clears it up...
Shepard would laugh in your face, by the way, so you can stop fantasizing about rejecting her.

Have you played LotSB? If pounding on a half ton Yahg isn't Heavyweight I don't know what is.
Yes I have. The Yahg was a rather pudgy office-dweller with a glass jaw.
I guess I should explain that I'm somewhat biased since I think Shepard of whichever gender needs to be taken down a peg or two. I dislike it when the protagonist is super-awesome in every single respect.
Anyway, Femshep is strong. How strong? I don't know. I'd date her regardless. However, the fact that some random guy on the internet is willing to date a fictional protagonist if she were real doesn't really say anything about her character other than that she has appeal to me and my like-minded ilk.

The Yahg broke a table in half and then took out the third squadmate when he threw the table.

Ive dated a few women who were more experienced at martial arts than I am, and it doesnt put me off. It does make you more careful about what you say, as a roundhouse kick to the jaw definately hurts more than a slap in the face.
Besides, I get sick of being asked to open jars, and squash bugs.

Some people can dish it out, but can't take it themselves.

I'd agree that smoking is a turnoff, but being able to knock people out isnt. its all personal tasteLapis Lazuli wrote...
I find it fascinating that if I said smoking was a turnoff, nobody would say sh*t, but if I say knocking dudes out like Oscar De La Hoya is a turnoff, I get insulted.

In this instance, pinning 'knocking dudes out and chicks with scars a turnoff' to femShep, will likely get a fair propotion of people disagreeing with your opinion as to what is attractive.
You also listed sexual experience. I'm surprised more people aren't flaming you for this one.

Disliking smoking isn't a sign of insecurity. Disliking someone because they're more capable than you is.

It's impossible for me to say what I'd do if I were a man, as I have no idea what that feels like.
Do I think she's awesomely badass and would I love to spill some drinks with her on the Citadel? Definitely!

I didn't say being better at chess is a turnoff. I said knocking dudes out with one punch is. Knocking dudes out with one punch is a sign of lacking femininity.

Personally, I wouldn't want to date ANYONE who was capable of knocking me out with one punch--female, male, or otherwise.
(and by "capable", I mean in any capacity. Is my husband "capable", theoretically, of knocking me out? Probably. Would he ever, or would I be with him for 1 second if he could actually do such a thing? No ****ing way.)

Standards, culturally speaking, vary a great deal on what is considered feminine. There was a time where being a woman in the workplace was considered a very 'unfeminine' thing to be doing. Who knows, perhaps by 2185, peoples perceptions as to what is feminine may have changed.

I have no opinion on whether or not she can kick my ass.
If she goes around boasting how she can kick every man's ass she meets, it's a turnoff.
I have no interest in someone who has to constantly remind everyone of how awesome they are. Ballbusters are also out.
