It's one delay... by a few months. Try 14 years.
Can anyone say Starcraft: Ghost?
I waited years for that game, and then it finally just lost any sort of funding and died. I was so disappointed.
Yeah, ME3 is in no danger. If anything, I was happy to hear about the delay. Nov/Dec was too early, IMO.

Anyhow, even if it is for financial reasons it's good becasue probably they will use the time to polish the game...although I wonder remember EA could be pushing Bio to do something that in the end affects the game negatively....there are people here who trust too much or are too naive...a game...any game from any company can always go south...
I truly beileve that they will pull off a great game but I don't exclude the possibility of a major disaster as there have been serveral...who would've thought DA2 would have had this outcome...
So...although I am positive I don't discard any possible outcomes...in the end this IS the Gaming industry

Not really.
First, it's long been known that if two good games release on the same day, both games sell. Diablo 2 and Icewind Dale both released on the same day, and both sold extremely well. If an RPG was able to compete with Diablo 2, Skyrim is not an issue at all, it's got nowhere near the pedigree.
Second, Bethseda makes games for people who hate RPGs, not RPGs. They remove every RPG mechanic they can find. It's not possible to get any further from an RPG than a Bethseda game, especially with their fascination with level-scaling that makes the character sheets completely irrelevant.
Third, Bethseda doesn't believe in writing story, they make nearly empty worlds with hours of walking around for no reason.
Fourth, it's *highly* unlikely Skyrim's going to do well. Zenimax has taken on massive debt, Bethseda's the only studio they own out of like 8 that actually releases games, and the only reason Oblivion sold was because there wasn't a single competitor on any of the systems at the time it released. It's not hard to sell when you're the only game in town.
Fifth, they've burned too many bridges. They abused the Morrowind fans, they abused the Fallout fans, they're abusing even the Oblivion fans right now. You *cannot* keep insulting people and expect to sell games. Nevermind the other very serious issues that have occurred with Bethseda and their PR.
Bioware and Bethseda have no overlap, and I doubt Skyrim's going to do all that well. Looks like another DA2 brewing, especially the more Todd talks.
Gatt, you might want to send a message to the Guinness people, they seem to think that Bethesda didn't do too badly with Fallout 3. If their numbers are that far off of accurate, they would want to know. Usually when they certify a world record, they tend to be careful with number type thingies.

Fastest-selling multi platform role-playing game (RPG) WhoFallout 3 (Bethesda Softworks, 2008) WhenNovember 04, 2008 DetailsThe
fastest-selling multi-platform roleplaying game is Fallout 3, which
sold over 4.7 million copies in its first week on sale from October 28
to November 4 2008.
I have a feeling the DA2 numbers aren't as good, actually. Considering some of the ES players wouldn't touch a Fallout game with a ten foot pole, but will buy another ES game, I don't think Bethesda will be looking to be bought out by EA in the next couple of years.
