Since some characters won't come back, what about a 2 or 3 long fight of Thane vs Kai Ling, where Shepard has to stop mooks coming. Then Thane dies. Shep (especially if shep romanced Thane) then gets pissed and fights Kai ling. Shoot him until he uses a shield similar to the one the Shadow Broker uses. Shep goes all Ryu Hyabusa on his ass and punches him on the shield generator. Then you hit him into a wall. Then you shoot him some more. Repeat.
I think that beats a 5m long cutscene.
Mass Effect 3: Shepard vs Kai Ling - a 5 minute long cutscene of hand to hand combat

What would Shep be doing for the other 4 minutes?

As ssomeone who played and loved all three Xenosaga games, the length of cutscenes doesn't bother me as long as it's good and adds a signicant amount of story and plot development.
That said, I'd much rather actually fight Kai Leng than watch a choreographed scene play out.
Aww yeah, Xenosaga fan up in here.

To long and I don't want button mashing cut scene quick press X to punch oh no I missed it darn shep got hit! I hate those I like to enjoy my cut scenes not brace for button press. Also OP not everybody knows who this Kei Lang guy is so far to me he's cyber ninja which already makes him lame.

Like someone said earlier, how about have it be the first cutscene that acknowledges class? And 2 minutes would be alright. It's good to have a substantial fight scene, but 5 minutes is just too much.

Stupid.
Boring.
Mass Effect has gone MGS, but... have we really wanted it?
