so, with all due respect, I couldnt help thinking that the Alistair remake in DA2 was a bit wrong :( I'm inviting anyone who wants to give it a go to post their best crack at re-remaking him :)

This is mine so far, think it needs some tweaks.

Not bad, but my only suggestion would be to change his hair colour as Alistair isn't ginger. His hair is dark blond (so same colour as Varric and Anders). Unless you want him to be ginger, then by all means.

his hair is this sort of in-between shade that DA2 doesnt seem to have :P not easy to get th right skin tone either!  i'll fiddle with it, thanks!

I think all Alistair in DA2 needs is a darker shade of blonde hair. He has brownish gold hair in Origins. Now his face is really white with straw coloured hair. It's totally weird XD.

This is what I went with for my King Alistair.  I thought it'd been a few years so it was Ok to change his hair and I wanted to keep the old hair for Warden Al and go unkempt for drunk Al.

His hair color in origins seems to be this strawberry color, i wish they had it in 2.

ok, a few adjustments ;) ... may need to grow his ears a little
Goldring you got that blond to work pretty well for the long hair, i wish it looked darker for the short!

This i think is pprobably the closest we could get to alistair in DA2.... its really really good, could you post it up here (or nexus) for people 2 use?  (also seeing as its been 7 years would you consider making his skin Slightly only a little more wrinkled???

I don't see whats so bad about the vanilla Alistair, especially when you look at what they did to Zevran.

This seems better because in Origins his skin seemed to have a more peach or orangish color. Nice =)

thanks! yeah he's more tan in DAO but if I use the darker skin color I lose the eyebrows and especially the beard. it's too light as it is!

Ugh...how I hate this simplified morph system in DA2 >__>

Anyway, the third one is actually very good job on Alistair for the limited possibilities this system (and the CC) offers, really.

I like this thread :D What are you using to recreate the morphs? Are you using the CC with Hawke, then replacing?

I support this thread/project/potential mod x lots!!!

I'm utterly clueless about how you go about actually making mods, but I use quite a few. I particularly wish this project all the best!

Gotta move away from the straight nose guys! Alistair's is slightly hooked. But you are all definitely getting there, may the Maker bless you!

Edit: I support this thread, too, btw B).  If I may suggest something: I think most of you made his eyes a bit too big.

^ And his nose looks straight on these screens from Origins:

@Caja: I agree on the eyes. A bit smaller, but the shot angles you choose do not give enough information on his shape. Since we're working with 3 dimensions, you really need a panoramic view to get this to be accurate.

The general consensus is hooked because though it has a straight profile edge, it dips slightly lower than the nostrils at its tip. "Straight" would usually represent the "perfect" (popular acceptance) nose which Alistair doesn't have. His nose is neither straight nor hooked. It simply has personality :P

Edit: Could this be considered perhaps "Roman Nose"? It has a slightly prominent bridge, and extends straight edge to the tip...

My opinion on tweaks to the OP would be smaller eyes, then slightly extend the distance between them to compensate,  slightly thinner upper lip, and darken the complexion a bit B)
