Depends how you want to play. To be honest NG+ soldier might get boring, what with breezing through everything, so I'd start a new infiltrator from scratch.
Have you unlocked bonus talents? Might want to throw AI hacking in there for a nice skillset.
But most classes will have a bit of difficulty the first few levels, until you've got a few talents unlocked.

I prefer using the Sniper for Adepts. It just makes it so I have more options when I come to a battle.Clonedzero wrote...
i only got halfway through ME1 as a soldier. the huge lack of active abilities got really boring for me. all you can really do is shoot stuff and be a massive bullet sponge. luckily in my halfplaythrough i was able to unlock assault rifles for other classes so i just assault rifle vanguard or adept it up lol

Any level one insanity is going to be very tedious at best and very rough at worst. At low levels you just don't really have the powers to deal with enemy immunity. It can be done but, it's a real slog.
It's fine if you do everything on the Citadel before you leave, so you have a decent level to start combat with. Those 2 assassins, and the first world you go to are pretty rough though.

I was glad that my insanity Shepard was an adept, as I tried my best to use singularity/lift/stasis on enemies before they had the chance to use immunity. If they did get immunity up, then I would cast warp, though they still took a while to kill.
For fun, try going to Therum right after the Citadel without doing any assignments. I did that while trying to recruit Liara a.s.a.p. so I could get her achievement, and that krogan battle is a pain at lower levels. I can't imagine doing that on hardcore/insanity. Usually I try to do all possible assignments in between the Citadel and Therum.

If you're breezing through the game with your ng+ soldier, try insanity. Any enemy with access to immunity will spam it.

I did this, but at higher levels I found the Armature to be harder than the Krogan. Although, I think it's mostly because of the ghosts and stalkers.

Yep after the 30th+ time you've done it, you might want to do the mission another way.

To the left of you is a wall that you can go behind during that Armature fight. The Armature can't hit you behind it, and you can actually shoot through the cracks in the wall.
If I fight the krogan at a lower level, with little or no immobilization options, he keeps charging my Shepard, using melee attacks, and usually many reloads are involved.
