OK, so I know after the Deep Roads, you'll lose your sibling in a semi-permanent way unless they died. He or she will rejoin the party later in Act 3. I have a question about their equipped items at the time they leave. Do they disappear? Will their accessories and weapons be gone when they come back? I am thinking of giving them their items from the item pack DLC. Would be a shame if they got lost upon leaving.
What happens to your sibling's items when they leave for the Wardens or a faction after the Deep Roads?

If I remember correctly then I saw some of Bethany's items in my inventory, like Grey Warden clothes. I believe I put them in the chest at the Hawke estate in order to keep them but free up some inventory space. I stopped playing during part 2 for about a month whilst waiting for that patch. That's why I'm not completely certain. I'll check again next time I play. Probably tomorrow.

I seem to remember that bethany still had the terrible act 1 rings, belt and amulet when I got her back in the epilogue. She has a new staff though, and her old one disappears.

Carver's weapon at least is gone if he joins the Wardens and rejoins the party in the Gallows. I don't remember if his accessories (amulets, rings, etc.) were gone, too. But if you want to use the weapon on another character, make sure you un-equip it before leaving the Deep Roads.
