So I just got the epic ability to use any item as a fighter/theif. I've been wanting it so I could have a pet! So I cast find familar and *poof* the game freezes half way through the casting. Over and over. I've searched this problem online and found nothing. Has anyone heard of this happining?

A fighter/ thief CAN cast spells from items/ scrolls but CAN'T have familiars... hence the crash.
You can use shadowkeeper to add familiar (possibly buggy) to your bag and/ or give you one level of mage so the game engine stays happy (recommended).
