Hi,

Currently I finished the Dalish quest (with werewolves) and im about to go to the dwarves, but I would like to know from people that might know - should I do The Stone Prisoner as soon as possiable ?
Plus, untill I meet him, does he have static level ? meaning if i'll get him in lvl 5 or lvl 15 will there be a difference in HIS level ?

Thanks !Posted Image

I would suggest taking him before you go to the dwarves...he levels automatically whenever you choose to include him in your party, which means that if you take him at level 15 he will instantly level up to lvl 15. All the other companions do this as well, if they are a few levels behind, but only when you include them in your party.

I think I grabbed her around level 7. She's my favority character, you should definintely grab her. There is a tie in to her in the Orzammar as well.

They way Shale specs on her own is kind of odd. They take one spell from each tree til that tier fills then the move onto the next tier. Grab as soon as possible to stop this madness :)

I did all of the bonus content directly after Lothering, figured I'd be that much more prepared to do the campaign stuff. Soldier's Peak is invaluable for the plate set, sweet stats for that level. But, the Shale quest line does also give ya the sweet Helm o Honnleath (think I got that right) too bad it's a brownish color hehe. Forgot the other loot ya get, was playing a warrior so I was bedazzled with the armor. And as a bonus, Shale is a very colorful character.

Actually if you get Shale post level fifteen she comes with better equipment.

I suppose but you can still get all of the equipment for her in your travels.

She is the super agro magnet and damage sponge in your party... absolutely fantastic when your PC is a squishy mage with low constitution. Also a great npc character.

Why is everyone calling Shale a she? Voice is obviously male.

Apart from the fact that the voice is obviously female, there are reasons for calling Shale a she.

I have no idea where people get the idea that she's male from. Everything about her just screams female.

Everyone just pictures a metro-sexual I guess (I did). Those who haven't done The Deep Roads with Shale in their group won't understand that it is much simpler than that.

Actually everything screams she-male. Even her looks, come on that's not a male golem, at least not one that wants to be male. Compare voice and looks to Cairidin and then tell me again that Shale is a male :P

You don't have to bring her to the anvil to learn more about her, her companion quest is sufficient... does that change if you bring her for the anvil quest?

SPOILER

I didn't, and we found another golem registry in her companion quest location.

People who are asking why we are calling Shale a she obviously have not finished all of the quests yet.

Karidin was also made of metal. I don't know if that matters, but in Karadin's voice you can hear it echoing off of the metal, and even sounds a bit like metal thudding around. Could all be coincidence though, and that could be how all male golems sound, but we only have the 1 to go off of.
