I linked it in the first post. I don't understand why he would lie unless he thinks it's funny trolling his FB friends, which he isn't known to do. So, uhh, yeah... =/

Do not take any (Non-bioware) specualtions as a thing that you feel need to be put up on the forums, which everyone knows better obviously is either trolling, or = looks like someone havent read up on the internet.

I don't want multiplayer, though co-op would be nice if they could somehow fit it in there without totally ruining the game. (Same with DA)

When asked about the delay, EA boss John Riccitiello said, "Essentially, step by step, [BioWare is] adjusting some of the gameplay mechanics and some of the features that you'll see at E3 that can put this into a genre equivalent of shooter-meets-RPG, and essentially address a far larger market opportunity than Mass Effect 1 did and Mass Effect 2 began to approach."

... So what does that mean? Well, mentioning that Mass Effect 2 was closer to what EA's targeting would seem to indicate more of an emphasis on action. But if the company's looking for "a larger market opportunity" a multiplayer component seems a surefire way to achieve that.

can we really say there won´t be MP to ME3? really really sure?

He was speaking to investors. Its business clap trap with the intention of assuring said investors that the delay wouldn't cut into their profits. People are reading way too much into that, especially since Bioware has already repeatedly stated that they're going to be beefing up the rpg-side of the game and is in the midst of the development process already.

The real reason for the delay is patently obvious as a move to get out of a busy holiday 2011 season.

I wouldn't say that Bioware has confirmed there will be no multiplayer in ME 3.  I read the Game Informer article and I found what Casey Hudson said was incredible "vague" and certainly does not say "there will be no MP".  Here is what he said :-

Casey Hudson ..... We haven't YET come up with a way to do that, so we don't have anything to announce at this time.  But obviously, multiplayer is something we want to do more of in the future as a company".

Now that doesn't sound like a resounding "there will be NO multiplayer in ME 3" that just reads to me as "we have nothing to announce about it at this time".

For the record I am not interested in MP I think it is the wrong way to go.  But equally I appreciate there is nothing I can do about it, if EA/Bioware want to put MP into a single player game then they will do it regardless of what their current customers want.
