Point is-Don't take what's posted in these forums, even by Bioware reps as scripture. Until the game is feature locked, anything is possible. Anyway, Bioware hasn't denied MP since sometime last year I think.

EA/Bioware uses game mag/site exclusives and conferences like E3 to make announcements, not directly to the community. So until then, it's just a rumor. A dark terrible rumor that even major gaming sites have said they hope doesn't happen, but still a rumor-and not out of the realm of possibility.

The PC isn't an Xbox though is it, the PC is a separate unique platform to the Xbox 360 (even Microsoft considers the PC a separate platform to the Xbox 360).  So when Bioware said that ME 1 was going to remain an "Xbox Exclusive" they were wrong because they brought it to another platform that is totally separate from the Xbox 360.

As to the topic in hand we just do not have enough information to say one way or another.  It is NOT a fact that there will be multiplayer in ME 3, equally it is NOT a fact that there won't be mp in ME 3 and Bioware have most certainly NOT confirmed that there will be no mp in ME 3.

The only fact we have is that Bioware is sending out mixed signals about the situation and being vague about whether ME 3 will come with mp.

Thank you, but the problem is that there is too little information in your OP and almost no evidence to add any credibility to it. It's practically: the BSN forum member has decided to post a thread about how "somebody" posted on "somebody else's" personal FB page the information, that Mass Effect 3 will have a multiplayer. 

Of course, the topic is interesting and important enough on its own. But the OP as it is now is a very weak and, for me, quite confusing starting point.

Since your activity in this thread suggests that you DO care about it and opinions posted in it, I would like to ask you for some additional / new information:

- about the exhibition / vendor show itself (When did it take place + Any official link? Was it open to public at some point? Did you attend it at least partially?)
- about the person who publicized this information (Mr. Dave Lantsbery ?) and his relation to games (Is he an employee of some game retailer / publisher / developer ? Is he allowed to make such statements ? Do you believe / have any proof that he actually attended that event ?)
- your relationship to this person - (Are you friends or do you at least know him personally ? Do you trust that post ?)

Quite an inquisition, isn't it?  But withoud such information, most of us can hardly take your post seriously even if we share your concerns about ME 3's multiplayer. Of course, take your time, contact that guy again and do anything you deem necessary at your own pace.

I would not be at all surprised if the release delay was so that they could implement MP.

Let's face it, the only reason to delay a pre-xmas release to a post-xmas release is if you think you'll be able to get more sales by doing so. And don't talk about a crowded pre-xmas market, it's always crowded at that time of year, they would have to have a pretty damn good reason to abandon all those extra xmas sales!

The best way for them to get the extra sales post-xmas and to "expand their market" is by implementing MP.

Ah, ME has such a pleasant fanbase, always so welcoming and inviting.

MP was actually the first thing that came to mind when I heard about the delay. I'd love to see just because of the way folks in this thread responded. It's certainly a likely possibility considering they were previously looking for someone with MP experience to work on the ME IP and previous statements about wanting to include MP in their titles.

I actually think it is a very strong possibility.
