Has anyone ever figured out how to make snowpeaks that look half decent? Little dissapointed in how un mountainous the overland map mountains look, plus the fact you cant tint the tips only, despite having 3 tintable parts. (what were they thinking?). I tried sharp raise brush but it looks bad. Maybe I need diff brush settings. Who has some visual samples of snowpeak mountains they did?

Not OLM, but you can do texture and terrain in OLM, right? If you like it, here's how I do it:
1: Make your base mountain,
2: Make large outcroppings (size 4-6 on inner and outer brush)
3) Make smaller, sharper outcroppings (size 2 on inner and outer brush)
4: Texture: I have been using the concept that snow does not collect on sharp angles, so anything that protrudes gets the cliff texture. I like cliff 2 because it contrasts well with the snow. I paint it at 90% with size 1 on inner and outer brush so I can leave some bits of snow in the crevices between outcroppings.
It is time consuming, but I have been very pleased with the result.

I forgot to mention that I use snow 1 as my base texture. Also, you need to make sure your light settings are good for snow or else it will wash out. The default settings will wash out all your snow textures. If you need some, let me know and I will send you the settings I use.

Scale affects things a bit. You can't do as much detail because of minimum brush size and minimum size you can deform the terrain.

Knightmare made a re-texture of a bunch of cliff faces awhile back. I don't think that there are any snow textures, but maybe you could figure out how to reskin some of them with new textures that make them look snowy on top.

The OLM setting for a map is only a camera lock and some scripting hooks. ANY exterior area can be made into an OLM. Anything you can do with terrain brushes can be used in an OLM.
Try using my Serpent Spine Mountain prefab and set it as an OLM in the toolset.

I can make big mountains as normal, but it is completely off scale with the way overland placeables are which are more or less small ïcons" representing areas rather than actual terrain, s uch as the silly looking evergreens, and the mountain placeables. I was just trying to figure out how to make smaller mountains but you really cant because nwn2s resolution isnt good below 6/6 brush and it gets polygonol. I guess I will just make a larger, standard group of mountains like normal and try to avoid the map placeables.
